yeah man. I really didn't think that I even had a problem listening to the music that I did, but when I had made the conclusion, "You know what, I'm being a bad witness," going ahead and following through was REALLY hard. You know I would ask you, fire-inside, if you're so right on with the Lord that you're still able to listen to non-christian music, then why didn't you lift me up with encouragement, me being the "weaker in the faith?" Obviously your music means a little more to you than you thought that you would be offended at the inclination of getting rid of them. I was the same way too, but when I did it, man, what a burden off of my shoulders! Seriously! I'm the biggest Smashing Pumpkins fan you'll ever meet, I had over 20 of their albums and underground releases, and I through them all away! You know Butch Vig (the same guy who produced AFI's last album) produced Smashing Pumpkins 1st two releases and Nirvana's Nevermind, and Sonic Youth's "Dirty" all three of them I owned! These are phenominal albums! It was extremely hard to let go but when I did, I couldn't believe how free I felt! Not having to listen to those cds just to feel good. Those albums made me feel so good when i listened to them, and so I would depend on them, but no more! I depend on the Lord for my comfort. Do you know how humiliating it is to force myself into that possition?
Let me encourage you, don't force yourself there, have faith that the Lord will deliver you.

Wow!! amen, thats awesome. I would have gotten myself into some bad bands if it wastn't for my mom, she didn't want me to get any of them, and now, I won't go past music like Switchfoot, there about as far I think I would get out of listening to full preaching GOdly Christian music. But thats ^ good dude.
