Hey, does anyone here listen to anything other than Switchfoot, Blindside, Pillar, POD, Chevelle, TFK, 12 Stones...you know, all the big Christian bands...it just seems like all the threads here are about them. You guys like any indie bands, or someone who isn't well known?

one of my favourite bands is a little known one from Atlanta, Georgia. they are actually friends with Third Day, but not as popular, which i'm cool with. :) The Waiting is one of the coolest bands out there that has country under-tones. their lyrics are awesome. check out the bridge to "Hands in the Air."
Light from my window sill, make my way to the door
I hang my head and still, I know you're wanting more
Over the threshold now, I move across the yard
All that my will allows, my every step is hard
Now in the garden I carve out six feet of space
There make my will comply, lie down upon my face
Been toe to toe too long, I'm tired of fighting You
I see You were too strong 'cause I am black and blue
But now I understand a loser's due to win
How every dying man is sure to rise again
So I raise my left hand one, I raise my right hand two
Under the morning sun, my spirit cries to You

i like antiskeptic (no one has responded to my antiskeptic thread here) and hardly anyone who lives outside australia knows them, and even in australia not many people know them.
and i like falling up (sum people know them, and probably more people as they get more popular coz they haven't been around for long)
and i like naked heart (aussie christian metal) and hardly anyone heard of them. even ive only heard one of they're songs, and its a cover of Confide in me, and i ain't got their cd.
and theres lots of other aussie bands noon would've heard of. and theres lots of other bands, but i can't think of them all now, anmd i ain't got their cds yet anyway.

That's what really sucks though, is that most of the really good Christian artists that used to be around have broken up...like BeanBag. After the wreck they were in, they just decided to pack up and head back to Australia. They were my all time favorite Grunge/Metal band ever...and they left me only two CD's... :'(

Dude, I forgot about Bride! Bride was sweet till they went rap-core in "Fistful of bees" I haven't heard their latest cd "This is it". But I think "The Jesus Experience" was their best cd.
Some other bands:
*Disciple (One of the most underrated Christian bands out there.)
*Seven Day Jesus (Disbanded)
*Grammatrain (Disbanded)
*East West
*Wyrick (I think he's into producing now-a-days.)
*Lloyd (Who had like three members of Imagine This. Disbanded)
*Staple is awesome, haven't gotten their new cd yet.
Locally, there are some sweet bands. I never really knew Columbus actually had a local scene till I was in a band lol. But Penitence, Menile and a few other bands are pretty awesome.
I dunno, I don't really like much of the recent Christian stuff out there. It's either emo or alternative rock anymore.
But Skillet and Disciple are neck and neck tho for #1.

After goesaroundcomesaround they toured quite a bit with the Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, and some other bands I think. They'd been working on a new album and when the fires were here this past winter, their studio got destroyed along with most of the masters of their new stuff. But they're working on coming back now. KJ~52!! I that guys so cool! Hes addicted to mountain dew!
well, skillet wasnt listed in the first post....i have a bit of a thing for them ;D lol (ok, maybe more than a bit of a thing...more like "My Obsession"......bad pun intended.....
Anyway...i didnt really get to hear big dismal in concert cuz they started early and didnt play long, but i just barrowed the cd from my friend a couple of hours ago and immediately ordered the cd online...I really like them! Also, I'de like to comment that Riley Armstrong, though not real well known, has visited and performed here at Spring Arbor University, and he lived in my dorm building all weekend both times with the resident director...which i thought was awsome ;D
Other bands i like that arent quite so big are Luna Halo (are they together?), Earthsuit (disbanded :'( ) And I like By the Tree's, The Elms, and Tree63's first albums....not so much the later ones......oh, and is justified considered a well known band? i love them....saw them in concert twice, first time when the opened for skillet before i liked them (pillar was there too) and again a little while ago in a church in town
I'll shut up now...unless i think of others....oh, i like fono's song: collide, but the rest im not sure about....and some of bleaches songs (heartbeat etc)....
oh, im sorry...i almost forgot....."altered" contacted me, they're a new band in VA, and they saw PH.org and liked it and asked me to redo their flash intro (i am also redoing their website and logo) They sent me a few of their songs and they sounded really good! I havent heard more than the 3 songs the lead singer, adam, sent me....but he's sending me a copy of the album...... www.altered-band.com (http://www.altered-band.com) is their site, he uploaded some song downloads if you want to hear them.....note that the new site isnt up yet...
ok, i think im done typing now ;D

I'm speaking of their newest one. Wonderfully Made. It is by no means wonderful.
Actually, I disliked Unfazed too. It's just their first record that I liked. It isn't very original music, but that one song is just amazing. It's one of my favorite songs ever.

i agree on Unfazed. it left me, well, unfazed. ;) Wonderfully Made, however, i enjoy. not as much as self-titled .which is not their first btw. their first, if you don't count their very first which is more like a demo record, is Blue Belly Sky. i so want that CD. from what i've heard, it sounds a lot like their self-titled.
can ya tell i like The Waiting a lot? ;)

I know of Blue Belly Sky. My Step mother owns a copy 8)
But I always considered it a semi record. An EP, though I don't think they ever called it that.
The Normals have left Forefront records. Which means there ain't any bands left on that label that I like. Bennygate and grammatrain quit, skillet and Bleach left, and now the Normals left.

I have more because even Skillet isn't popular over here, and basiclly all I listen to is music that no one else has heard of.
