Yo, what's up everyone?! Just thought I'd stop by while I had a few minutes to hang out with my fellow Panheads, and tell ya'll about Hero: The Rock Opera. Ok, so. I'm sure all of you, or at least most of you, know about it. It's basically a big project that was started by Eddie DeGarmo, and was finally finished after ten years of hard work. And in my personal opinion; THIS CD ROCKS MY FACE CLEAN OFF! And as well touches me greatly. A song that really caught my attention was I Am; performed by Michael Tait, of the Xion rock band Tait:

I Am (JN 18.1-13)

Sometimes it's hard
To do what you're meant to do
The fire we must walk through
Sometimes it's hard

I am a servant
I'll fight for the common man
To rise up and take a stand
I am a servant

Chorus:

I am-I am
The one to make a change
Who's gonna do it
If I don't step to it
I am

No one can know
When fate says your time has come
To carry the lonely ones
No one can know

It's all for love
It comes down to what you choose
To reach out and heal the wounds
It's all for love

(Repeat chorus)

I am-I am
A voice to be heard
Who's gonna do it
If I don't step to it
I am

There's many other's that touched me just as much, but. I won't make this a huge thread by posting all of them, so. I'll only post one more. This ones called Love's Declaration, performed by; Michael Tait as Hero, Mark Stuart as Petrov, Rebecca St. James as Maggie:

Love's Declaration (MT 5.1-10)

Hero:

Blessed are the poor-Blessed are the poor in spirit
For theirs will be the kingdom of heaven
Blest are those who mourn
Blessed are the sad and lonely
For their tears will dry and they'll be comforted

W/ Petrov&Maggie:

Blessed are the meek-All the gentle ones
They shall inherit the earth
Blessed are the ones that thirst for righteousness
For they shall all be filled

Hero:

These words are promises to you
Love's perfect declaration to
Pilgrims and weary travelers to see you through

Blessed are the merciful-For they shall be shown mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart-For they shall see God

W/Petrov&Maggie:

Blessed are the ones always making peace
They shall be called God's sons
The persecuted souls because of righteousness
Heaven will be theirs

Hero:

These words are the promise to you
Love's perfect declaration to
Pilgrims and weary travelers to see you through

I really push all of you to go out and purchase this cd, it's great. The message it sends is a powerful one, very touching. Anyways. All of you take care, and God bless!

The only song on HERO! that 'rocks my face off' is Kill The Hero, you know, the one John does. The rest of it just isn't rock-worthy. Though I do love it.

No.. I didn't say that was the only good song. It's just the only one that really rocks. There are a lot of great songs on the rest of the album.

I agree, John's song on it really does rock-your-face-off! I like how he sings it, too. Very weird, but cool.

has anyone actually seen it? i've heard from some people that the acting isn't very good, and that there are holes in the story-line...
