OH YEAH! Petra is back and they're better than ever! I just got the new album today and IT ROCKS LIKE MAD!!!!! Petra has totally changed their sound, completely. Their about five times as heavy as they used to be, and utterly impress the heck out of me. If there are any Petra fans here at Panheads.org, GO OUT AND BUY THE NEW ALBUM JEKYLL&HYDE! You won't be wasting you're money, trust me! This cd is amazing! Here's one of my favorite tracks off of the new album.

~I Will Seek You~

Living water - I am thirsty and dry
Bread of heaven - only You satisfy
I am waiting for Your comfort and peace
Come and fill me, let this emptiness cease

(Chorus)
I will seek You
I will find You
I will follow what I know is true
I will seek You
Like I used to
I will worship You

You are holy, You are a wonder to me
In creation I see Your majesty

(Chorus)

Speak to me and I will listen
(Give me the call and point the way)
Lead me on and I will follow
(Hearing Your Word I will obey)

(Chorus)

To celebrate 33 years of music and ministry from the pioneering Christian rock band, Petra, Inpop Records will release Petra Farewell on Nov. 22. Petra Farewell, a CD/DVD combo filmed before a live audience, will feature Petra classics, emerging worship favorites, and guest appearances by former band members [including former vocalist Greg X Volz]. The band, which has impacted generations of musicians and fans alike over the years with over seven million CDs sold, four Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards and an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, will tour extensively this fall before disbanding at the year's end. Petra, initially formed in 1972 by Bob Hartman on vocals and guitars, paved the way for the rock genre perhaps more than any other in the Christian music industry. The band is closing 2005 strong with over 20 albums to its credit, the latest being the 2003 Grammy-nominated Jekyll & Hyde. For more on Petra, visit www.petraband.com.
