Unfortunately computers don't always play nice and people therefore sometimes have trouble getting into THE CAGE (http://www.panheads.org/chat). The first thing to do is to make sure that you have the java plugin for your browser. Java can be downloaded from java.com (http://www.java.com)

If you're not able to use the web-based client for whatever reason, don't worry - we've got you covered. THE CAGE can be accessed using any IRC client, so try one of these...

Panheads.org WinChat(for Windows)
This is a specially packaged version of mIRC we've created that is already configured to connect to the right server and work with minimal effort.

Download: TheCageInstall.exe (http://www.panheads.org/chat/TheCageInstall.exe) (818 KB)

Download the above file and save it to your desktop
When it completes, double click on the "TheCageInstall" icon on your desktop and follow the setup instructions
Double click on the "Launch Panheads.org Chat" icon on your desktop to launch the program and connect to the server.

Conversation (for Mac OS X)
This is probably one of the most user friendly IRC clients for OS X... highly recommended. Please note that it does require Mac OS 10.2 or later.

Download: Conversation.dmg (http://www.panheads.org/chat/Conversation.dmg) (1.6 MB)

Download the above file and save it to your desktop
Double click the "Conversation.dmg" file on your desktop
In the window that opens, drag the "Conversation" file to your "Applications" folder to install it
Click the "Conversation" file in your "Applications" folder to run the program
In the "connection" window that pops up, enter whatever you want for the Nickname and enter "irc.panheads.org #panheads" for the Server. Then click Connect and you should be all set.

If you use a different IRC client, here is the connection information you will need:

Server: irc.panheads.org
Port: 6667
Channel: #panheads

/me action
