What records are you looking foreward to the most this year?

The record I'm looking foreward to the most has gotta be the release of Project 86- Songs to Burn Your Bridges By. It supposedly sounds like a mix of p86's record "Drawing Black Lines", but with some of the melody from "Truthless Heroes".

This is my wishlist-

1.P86- Songs to burn Your Bridges By (late spring/early summer)
2.Joy Electric- Hello, Mannequin (June 1st)
3.Bleach- ?? (This September)
4.Third Day- Wire (May 4th. Paul Ebersold is producing it, the guy who produced Skillet- Collide!)
5.Starflyer59- ?? (This winter. Jason Martin says he wants it to be really instrumental, so it may sound like Leave Here a Stranger...hopefully better =])

bleach is coming out with another cd? they are ending in August...

does the re-release of collide count? sure! it has one new song. ;)

-third day [hoping they go back to rock again and not this southern stuff...*no offense to those who liked their last 2 cds*]
-pillar

eh...i think that's it. *shrugs* not sure. i'll have to wait and find out who's coming out with new cd's that i actually want to buy.

Something new by AFI would be great. Rumour had it that they were going back into the studio early this summer, but since Davey's condition I'm not sure where that leaves that plan. Here's hopin.

I think Chevelle is suppose to have another album out either sometime this fall or early next year. I'm hoping they don't have the sophmore jinx.

In response to the new Third Day album, I have heard some pretty lengthy clips of each song due to me pre-ordering early. (oh the perks of pre-ordering albums early!) The album is gonna please fans of Conspiracy No.5, Time, and Come Together. It's got a little sprinkle of everything. I guess if I had to say, it leans mostly towards Conspiracy #5 and Time on the rock side of things and then more towards Come Together on the more softer ballads and laid back songs. I like what I heard but oh well, thats me.

imperfection- "Where do we go from here?" is Pillar's new one, right?
Whose record is "The End is Here"?

fire-inside- I would love a new AFI record. Sing the Sorrow was their first one for me, and I really liked it. But what happened to davey?

theelectric3- check out Bleach's website- www.bleached.com
read the latest entry, Jerry states that they are writing a new batch of songs for one last record!
...which is weird, cuz the site does say that Bleach was going on thier farewell tour in August. I guess they will release the record without touring to support it...
But hey, if they want to make one more record before its all over, I'm not complaining. =]

In March, with about two more weeks to go on their Spring tour, they had to cancel the remaining dates. Which was a first for them - cancelling a single show, let alone that many. Davey was ordered onto voice rest by his doctor because he developed a cyst on his vocal chords and risked irreprable damage if he didn't stop singing. I guess he's undergoing some herbal treatments and voice exercises and is doing good - at this point surgery isn't required.

I'm glad he's turning out okay. Thanks for the info.
I still haven't seen them in concert. If they come to the central valley (possibly Fresno's Savemart Center) I'd try to catch them.

I just listened to some clips from Thirdday's new record, Wire.
They've gone back to their older, slightly harder and more southern style of their first two records and dropped most of the poppiness from Come Together and Time. It sounds like a mesh of their self titled record and Conspiracy #5. Which is a good thing in my opinion!

This might be some cruel joke, but I heard off of another forum that the Newsboy's are realising a new record this fall-

Newsboys- Devotion: the follow up worship project to Adoration

If it's true- *groan*
If it is a joke, it is very funny. But the thread was started before April fool's, so there is a possibility it might be true.

Yeah, it's Pillar's new cd. You can pre-order it for ten bucks during the SSR tour. It comes out June 15th. (I've been to so many SSR shows where Rob has given his little talk about it...what can I say? ;)) The samples they play live sound quite good...and Kasica says the whole cd rocks. ;)

"The End is Here" is Five Iron Frenzy's last album. It comes out April 20th. One disc is the studio record "The End is Near" and the other is a live recording of their final show in Denver, CO. Makes me quite happy. :)

38th parallel is coming out with a new cd? cool. i'll have to look into that as well.

theinvaded - guess i should check bleach's sit more often if i want to know...lol. that is interesting how they are doing another cd when they are in the process of disbanding. *shrugs* maybe it's a good bye kind of cd?

looks to me like my cd list is growing...lol

Funny thing is, they aren't playing any songs off of it at SSR.

Anyone have any links to any clips where I might hear stuff from Pillar's new record?

Their first was awful, their second was okay, so hopefully this means that their new one will be great, since they are getting progressively better =p
