yeah.
so i went to a memorial day service at the cemetery today, and lemme tell ya was it unnerving to see so many white crosses and US flags. i realized a painfully precious message today that i've realized before in the past, and i'm sure i'll realize many a time in the future -- though i may disagree with the things this country's government has done, one thing remains the same: regardless of what happens, there are still people who risk their lives for us, whether or not they agree, and whether or not we agree. those lives, be they dead, gone and given, or not yet passed, deserve far more than one day's memoriam.
dead and gone -- your lives were not in vain. thank you.
fighting now -- thank you for your sacrifices. we pray that be it God's will, you may not have to give your life.
POW/MIA (http://www.xanga.com/POW_MIA_notforgotten) -- you are not forgotten.

Thank you to all who have served.
I watched the Memorial Service on OPB. Amazing. I cried during the Taps.
Thank you Grandpa Joe & Grandpa Edward. <3
