Yo everyone. I was just curious as to how many of us all really have online journals here. I know a few of you do, as a lot are members of the Skillet Community at www.livejournal.com.
If any were interested... my journal is at www.livejournal.com/users/berilac.

I am way to private of a person to do the live journal thing. The last thing I want is to write down my personal thoughts for anyone to read. I realy don't understand the appeal of it at all. Besides you'd just end up reading stuff like "today I did laundry and dishes, whoopie". That's just my opinion tho, which prolly doesn't mean squat.... ;) ;)

They are the same things, just with different names... I used to have a blog, but I got rid of it when I realized that there aren't that many things going on in my life. 'Cause I got bored reading my own blog. :P

Most of my journal entries are private, and I can only read them. So it isn't too useful to put my journal on here.

I just got mine, (big thanks to Jami for convincing me ;D) and I realize that I shoulda gotten it this whole time. My Xanga (http://www.xanga.com/thefirstanomaly) is just a great place for me to dump out how I'm feeling at the moment without disturbing anyone else with my babble! I suppose I shoulda listened to people when they yelled at me, telling me to get one... ::]

the thing is, i don't have a lot to say. i guess i'm just not that knida guy. maybe that will change when i become the guitarist of a famous band. ;D

Maybe I'll have less to say when I become a amous writer. ;D Just kidding, I REALLY don't wanna become famous. I just want to be able to get by.
But my weblog is gonna become a more highly occupied area for me soon. I'm trying to direct all my blither in that direction. It'll take time, but lots of people won't regret it. :P

I tried starting one a couple years ago too, but could never keep it up. I think in the space of two years, I had a grand total of seven or eight entries.
Bleh. Blogs are not for me. If I ever want to express my personal feelings, I'll write it up on paper. If ever I want to actually discuss something that I want others to read, I'll post it on a message board =]
disciple
10-24-2004, 12:48 PM
Yeah, I can't do that 'cause my personal feelings even I find annoying. So I put them where people have the option to read them, but most likely won't. I save me and others a lot of trouble by doing this. :)

What is THAT supposed to mean? :D ;)
...I won't answer that question directly. I'll just say... I only have me to talk to, so I can't say much. :D

I've got a question: How do I make it so that I can see my background picture through my LJ layout? What if I only wanted to see words, no borders or anything?

I've got a question: How do I make it so that I can see my background picture through my LJ layout? What if I only wanted to see words, no borders or anything?
i dunno if anyone helped you, so here i go. :)
when you make the background transparent, you will be able to see the image uploaded onto your journal for a background.
alrighty, lemme search lj and get the codes for ya.
*searches*
( FYI, keep the Global Head tags the same, don't re-import them with every code)
if you want a fixed image (so it doesn't move with the scroll bar).
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
background-image: url(http://www.example.com/image.jpg) !important;
background-attachment: fixed !important;
}
-->
</style>
*searches more*
i think this is the code to make your background transparent (so you see your image and not boxed text).
<!--
table, tr, td, .shadowed {
background: transparent;
}
-->
as far as borders:
*more searching* :)
<!--
.metabox, .currbox {
border: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
}
.necorn {
border-right: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
border-top: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
}
.entrybox {
border-right: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
border-left: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
}
.swcorn {
border-left: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
border-bottom: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
}
.nav, .altposter {
border: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
border-bottom:0;
}
#secorn {
border-right: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
border-bottom: 0px dotted #FFFFFF;
}
-->
0px means "no border" so there won't be anything there. and of course you could have it whatever color you want (#FFFFFF)
if you have anymore lj questions feel free to email me. :)
