ok well I've noticed that the Alien Youth cd's have different versions of discs...I own the solid black one with the printed songs on em, but theres another one thats like blue... :-\ I'm sorta confused as to why they changed it? yes... that was a pre-release version of the disc. it was sent out to different media publications and such to review the album before it was released. Now it's just more of collector's item than anything else. As for the content of the disc, it is the exact same as the black one.

not sure where you would look... i don't know what radio stations do with the discs after they get them. At the CD release party in Memphis, I believe they were giving away the extras when people bought the album, so i don't imagine Ardent has any left. you'd just have to find someone willing to part with theirs... keep an eye on ebay i guess.

only way to know for sure would probably be to email the seller. one thing to look for is that the blue disc didn't come in a hard plastic case, nor did it have a booklet with it. it was is in a soft plastic sleeve with a single little insert that has the cover image on one side and a track listing on the back. the cover image (the mosaic looking thing of john's face) that is with the blue disc has a slight white border around it whereas the black disc has none. ... just some things to look for to make sure you get the right one. *shrug*
