I get almost sick when I hear about a Christian holding up a sign like that in a public crowd that sign does not turn people to Christ it makes or pushes people away from the cross and God .
now with the public school prayer I bet you would think I would be for it and im not for public prayer in school Why do something if it doesn’t mean anything it will lose its meaning and the lords name will be taken in vain every day if this happens Gods name is to be revered not make it so much that it becomes a habit and we do it just because we can
John theBaptist said it best your words prayers are shallow and empty because you don’t mean it from our heart and until we face the fact that public school prayer is going to teach kids to use gods name in vain then I believe this is wrong. Also if we let one organized religions (yes is know Christianity is not a religion it’s a relationship) have school prayer then we must let Shinto Buddhism, Muslims have their public prayer time as well and that does not work for me
We are to be salt of the earth a city on a hill which cannot be kidded if we lose our saltiness then we and our ministry is nothing, Salt is good for 2 things adding flavor and preserving. we as Christians are to preserve our culture but also add flavor some ways you can do this is by calling in on crossfire or being a talk show guest on certain political policies and show them an evangelical outlook ,Resound to letters to the editor in your state newspapers or national magazines . Where are all the Christians in out culture?? They are not seeking to be relevant to the world they are seeking to be relevant to their Christians ghetto.
When relating to the government christen must understand that we a re a minority in this world. The majority speaks the loudest. we need to become part of that majority and season it with the Gospel so the next time a bill or law comes u to a supreme court judge that judge can say I remember that time I talked to my sectaries husband or something like that and he makes a decagons for the betterment of the society based on a biblical l principle that he learned from his new found friends. We need to be a part off the culture and preserve the charities colure but not live in we need to be relevant and season the colure that we are living in
