I don't know how many of you out there like to program AVS sequences with Winamp, but I know that I love to do it. If you got any great programs, post 'em here. If you got a tool you like, talk about it. If you got any great modifications on a superscope, I'd love to hear it. Anyway, I'll start with one of my own programs. The sweet thing about this one is that you don't need a simple or a superscope for it to work. Here it is:
Effect List
-Effect List
-- Trans/Blur (set at heavy)
-- Trans/Color Clip (Set Above, Color-white, outcolor black)
-- Trans/Movement (Bleedin')
-- Trans/Colorfade (Top-midright, middle-all the way left, bottom-center)
-- Trans/Mirror (Bottom to Top and Left to Right)
-- Trans/Movement (Tunneling)
-- Trans/Movement (Swirling both ways at once)
-- Render/Starfield (slow, fewer stars, replace, no beat changes)
-Render/Dot Grid (Light Movement, Cycle colors: Dark Red, Dark Orange, Dark Yellow, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Dark Purple. Dot Spacing 2 pixles.)
Anyway, call it what you like, I think it looks pretty cool. Let me know yours!

I'll post one of mine later, and I always title mine with some kooky name.
One of my favorites is "Oily Water." I have rendered it so it has white water with black coloring moving through it, but it also has that rainbow effect -- like oil in water. My big sis loves it.
I have made man SuperScopes as well. The best ones are not easy for me to come by, but they are terribly simple.
I'll post more when I can think. Glad to see I'm not the only one! ;D

I miss Winamp on my computer.. realplayer makes my computer slow.. and WMP is good.. most common to play music videos online with, hmm should I download it? does it take up much space on your c drive?
relientkguy
07-08-2004, 05:56 PM
winamp itself takes up 844 KBs. All in all it'll take up about 1,00 KB's if you keep everything.
disciple
07-08-2004, 05:57 PM
1,000 KB? Yeah... that's a lot for a lame-o comp like mine. I have it on CD-RW, so I can use it whenever.

ooh! very good idea, I'll start doing that too. Save the space!! (on your computer at least, lol)

Make sure you put whatever else on it, because 1,000 KB on a 800 MB disk isn't much.

I'll prolly put the music I play on Winamp on it too.

skins are something I don't know a lot about. What do they do exactly?

They change the appearance of Winamp, like the buttons and background. I love 'em. I have lots of lame ones :P

if I download too much on this thing.. it will crash. since some lil' monkey who didnt know what he was doing put windows xp on a computer that was not able to let it run rite without crashing alot! And it depends on what I use it for..ie videos, music, blah, and blah.

You don't download programs, you write it into the AVS editor. It's one of the options on Winamp, just look around for it. Lots of fun to fool around with and sometimes you will get something really awesome to save and share.
skilltroks
07-10-2004, 06:15 PM
o in that case!
relientkguy
07-10-2004, 06:29 PM
Lol, yeah. I guess I'll explain the different parts of it. An Effect List is a place to put the different effects (duh). Sometimes things in one effect list won't affect things out side it, sometimes the other way around (if that makes any sense at all). The options in the "Render" section are actual pictures/images. Without them you have a black screen. The "Trans" options change what the Images look like. These do lots of fun things. The "Misc" section is random. It does whatever it wants to do.

07-10-2004, 06:54 PM
Lol, I dont really think I'm stupid, cause I'm not. I just use it as an excuse. Sometimes. Still, you can't do a lot with Winamp without an understanding of computer programming. You can still do a lot, but there isn't stuff you can use too. I can't program, so I feel like I'm in the dark on a lot of the stuff in there still.

Yep. Know whats a whole lot of fun? To take some of the presets and mix them. Like I have a tie fighter navigating a 3D maze. You can do lots of interesting things just by mixing existing ones.
disciple
07-11-2004, 05:12 PM
I guess so. I might have done it. I have mixed preset SuperScopes a million times, and no, not the uber-complicated ones.

08-06-2004, 07:32 PM
yeah, I had to uninstall a bunch of unused programs in order to get Winamp. I'm much more happier with it then WMP. So easy to find a song on it, and make playlists.
disciple
08-06-2004, 07:42 PM
True... but I have to stick with WMP anyhow, juts 'cause I need to be safe... this computer is too precious to me to lose over which player I prefer (besides, MP has a few things/features that I like that Winamp doesn't have, so I'm reasonably satisfied for the time being.)
