Switchfoot is on TRL. i just voted, here is the link to go straight to the voting section: http://www.mtv.com/onair/trl/vote/ Lets get a good band with a good message on MTV for a change, vote for them even if you dont like them. Even if they arent your favorite they are still a christian band, so help spread the message.

The Rock N Roll Worship Circus is offering something cool for their fans. For sale again is an old live recording from them at Tom Fest. There are only one hundred copies left, so it is first come, first served. Find out more through www.worshipcircus.com.

i know. i was so sad when i found out.
i'm planning on talking to Gabe about it when i see them, but based on previous knowledge, this is my guess:
Zurn has a wife and 3 girls. it got harder and harder leaving them home. his girls are getting older and he wants to have a part in their life - besides talking to Daddy on the phone. So my guess he has stopped traveling to spend time with his family [makes sense].
Blurr has been tired of traveling for awhile now. she's always wanted to be on a p&w team at her church. and their last tour was crazy, playing every-single-day in the drastically different places. sometimes the dates were near each other and sometimes they weren't. i know that tour stretched them thin that they took a few months off. maybe that was the 'straw that broke the camel's back' - so to speak.
i'm going to miss them both tons.

Makes sense about Zurn though. I think he added to their dynamic a lot on stage, so major bummer he won't be around anymore.

here's the scoop:
A letter from the Circus…
Hey, Gabriel here. Sorry it's been so long since we've written you guys. Quite honestly, we've really been enjoying our time off this winter… It's been a time of rest, recouping, renewing of vision and ch-ch-ch-changes! We've got some crazy exciting news to fill all of you in on…..so here it goes!!
First off, a MAJOR dream has come true for us. Delirious has invited us to come out and open for more than a few shows their in April. That's Crazy!!! We love Delirious, and are honored to be invited to join them for an evening of worship. If you live in or around Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Missouri, or Oklahoma, then you have to come and check it out!!
And now for some even more exciting news!!…
As you know, Solo, the original guitarist from the Worship Circus (played on "Welcome to...." and "A Beautiful Glow", was also in our DVD movie sold with "Welcome to...") had to take last year off to be with his wife and new baby. Even though he was heavily involved with the writing and recording of "A Beautiful Glow", he remained out of the pictures because we weren't sure if he'd ever be able to travel with us again.... Well, as of this past February, he's back! Solo is an incredible guitarist, writer, production partner, and the closest thing to a brother that I've ever had.... He'll be touring with us again, and his wife and baby may even be flying out occasionally to be with us....
In other thrilling news, we've also picked up a new keyboardist Josiah Sherman (we call him "Jo-Psycho"), to help us accomplish more of our 'recorded' sound. Some of you may remember Josiah from the early days of the Circus. He is actually one of the original members of the band. He was a member of our church's worship team, and traveled with us up until spring 2000, but he couldn't continue because our touring was getting in the way of his high school schedule. (After he stopped playing with us, Blurr picked up the low end parts on the Moog.) Josiah is an INCREDIBLE writer, keyboardist, classical pianist, dj, etc. He's the most talented musician I know. On the records that Solo and I (the Glitter Twins) produce here in the Pacific Northwest, Josiah is always our man for helping us arrange strings, play keys, piano, etc. In the Circus, he will be handling all of the "low end" stuff that Blurr does on all of the Moog's (pending her return), as well as playing Rhodes, Synth's, Vox Jaguar, and a host of other vintage keyboards to help fill out the sound!
In still more exciting news, our drummer Zurn has felt called by the Lord to pass the torch on to Eric "the E" (who subbed for Solo on guitar this past year, pictured on "A Beautiful Glow"). For the past two years, Zurn has hardly seen his family. He's 41 years old, with three daughters, and feels like the Lord is taking him into a new season in his life. He's going to concentrate on being a father for his girls, and a husband for his lovely wife.... And we couldn't be more excited for him!
As I mentioned before, Eric will be filling Zurn's shoes, which is incredible, since this February he filled in for Blurr (who is taking the spring off), and last year he filled in for Solo! I believe you've met him... He's multi-talented, and a passionate worshipper... Though he's the only one of us who isn't a founding member, over the course of the past year of traveling with us, he's earned a huge spot in our hearts. We're happy to have him on board permanently!
In case these membership changes come as a surprise to you, let me just say this to ease your pain. We never designed the Circus to be a "band". In fact, the Circus wasn't designed by us at all. The Lord designed it. He took members of our worship team with rotating members, and called us to begin to travel outside of our church. Over the course of the "traveling" Worship Circus, we've had 11 members-even folks like Solo's dad and Bobby from the Tremolo Cowboys were once in the band! It's a Circus, and like a "true" Circus, the members change, but the show stays the same. None of this feels weird for us. There are no broken relationships. The Lord puts one up, and sets another one down…. That's His nature…. So Praise God!!
Well, that about wraps it up! Blurr wants me to say "hi" to you all from her. She's hanging back home because the Lord has told her to…"be still, and wait." She's sad to miss the spring, but will try to fly out for a few days to see everyone. You can email her at blurr@worshipcircus.com if you wanna say hi! And we'll see you all out on the road this spring…
After all, it wouldn't be the Circus without you, right?
