I gave sme advice on another thread about talking to girls, but now i need advice on how to just get a girl to simply be my friend. I don't care whether we go out or not, I just don't like knowing that i know everyone except that person. Advice is recommended. :-\

well, if you just talk to her... no pickup lines, no random coming over to chat when she's never met you in her life.... but if you're nice, and you help her out if she's dropped her stuff all over the place or she's got an armload of books and stuff (i'm assuming this is in a school setting), just holding the door open and helping her out a bit is a good way to get her to notice you... unless she's a stuck-up snob and just expects to be helped if she's having problems :D
but i'm not the best person to give advice, because i only know about 10 guys total off the internet :D so i wouldn't pay too much attention to what i just said, if i were you.

just be friendly. People like people who are friendly and you will make friends. Also get involved in school. When you are in clubs or sports you meet tons of people and the more active you are in school the better your focus on your classes will be, and you will enjoy school much more.
It's just like church if you go in just before service and leave just after how do you expect to meet others and develop relationships.
Good luck and have fun.

yeaaaaaaaaa.... this is a topic that is very simple if you follow some rules: be polite, kind, and BE YOURSELF cause if she like the guy your acting to be how are you gonna act when your friends are around and she shows up.they need to like you for who you are. unless of course you use mind powers.

Do what that guy in my youth church did.
He just walked up to us [us being my friends and I] and said, "hey, I see you three here every week and thought I'd say hi."

First, you walk up to her and tell her "Hey girl, u lookin fiiiiinnnneeee, baby!" Then after she is done giving you a look of disgust and tells you to get lost, you follow her for the next 5 minutes.
Always keep in mind: "You're the man now dog!"
The next day, while shes at her locker, walk up to her like you be knowing you all that (cause you are). Remember to be wearin your finest threads and bein all bling bling, yo. Then you be like, "Hey baby, hows about you and me drive in my dads shiney new Caddy and catch one of them movies. Maybe we could go see, like, New York Minute or somethin cause I know how you dig Mary-Kat and Ashley." And then she will prob be like "No, that's YOU who like Mary-Kate and Ashley." And you be like "Oh yeah..." And she will firmly tell you to get lost and that if you don't, she be telling her brother who just happens to be the head of the wrestling and football team.
After a week of avoiding contact (and checkin up on your other fine ladies), approach her again. This time, you be bringin up reinforcments... tickets to see Britney. So agrees to go with you as a friend and once at the concert, ditches you when she finds her other friends.
And that, my brotha, is how you hook up wit dem females.

i agree with this. but you should treat your male friends just the same as your female ones. dont give the girls any special treatment. if you see someone who you would't mind being friends with then be friendly. Hint Hint. but again if it's someone of a snoby type or bad reputation(not uncool reputations) then stay away so as to not be tempted.

i also agree with C_N, but the whole 'treat your male friends the same as your female friends' should be clarified... do NOT give your female friends noogies or wedgies or anything like that! ;D and girls don't like the whole insult thing as much... but i was friends with way more guys in high school than girls and it was easier because guys don't backbite as much... but just talking to someone you want to be friends with is a huge first step... if you have anything in common, its a big second step... and feel free to invite future friends to a group event such as youth group or whatever your friends are doing that day...

I guess the best thing is just to act like you would around your friends. Talk about interests, weird things that happened to you, and if you're like me, tell bad jokes. Just that level of hanging out and having mindless conversations really hits that friendship level. That's all I got. See ya!

The man sat and thought about it for a while and said, "I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, but I'm scared to fly and I get very seasick. Could you build me a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over there to visit?" The genie laughed and said, "That's impossible. think of the logistics of that! How would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? Think of how much concrete . . how much steel!! No, think of another wish!" The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish.
Finally, he said, "I've been married and divorced four times. My wives always said that I don't care and that I'm insensitive. So, I wish that I could understand women . . . know how they feel inside and what they're thinking when they give me the silent treatment . . .know why they're crying, know what they really want when they say, 'nothing' . . . know how to make them truly happy . . ." The genie said, "You want that bridge with two lanes or four?

ah, here.
Men are more likely than women to be driving at the time of a fatal crash. (NHTSA, 2003)
Male drivers involved in fatal crashes were nearly twice as likely to have been intoxicated (25 percent) – that is, above a .08 BAC – than female drivers (12 percent). (NHTSA, 2003)
Overall, young drivers, and especially, young White males account for a large share of the alcohol-crash problem. (NHTSA, 2001)
The intoxication rate (those over .08 BAC) for male drivers involved in fatal crashes was 25 percent, compared with 12 percent for female drivers. (NHTSA, 2003)
In 2002, 27 percent of the young male drivers involved in fatal crashes had been drinking at the time of the crash, compared with 11 percent of the young female drivers involved in fatal crashes.
or, you can find a loverly chart on who had the highest BAC at the time of a fatal crash here (http://www.madd.org/stats/0,1056,2483,00.html)

I NEVER played with make-up as a child, I was the complete opposite, always playing outside and with video games instead of dolls and all (maybe that's why I didn't start wearing make-up until I was almost 17!). I think it's cute when little girls play with stereotypically 'girlie' stuff; I have a young cousin who gets in trouble constantly for getting into her mom's exensive make-up!

i never wear makeup. i don;t got the time, or the ability to bother with it.. and to be quite honest.. even guys i see everyday are somewhat shocked when they find out i don't wear it... shows how much attention they pay to it.. but caked on makeup just looks even more fake then anything.. i think alittle is ok though... someitmes

I personally hate makeup. Has a lot to do with wearing it for plays. Turning orange is a bad thing.....
Eh, girls wearing makeup is fine, but it bugs me when they are dependant on it. Normally they look perfectly fine without it. Though I have seen some very interesting looks acheived with it....(hint of goth apparently comming out...)

Do what that guy in my youth church did.
He just walked up to us [us being my friends and I] and said, "hey, I see you three here every week and thought I'd say hi."
*Sigh* If only it were that easy. You have to look good too, you know. Everyone in this world is a stereotype for this. I haven't met a SINGLE PERSON to THIS DAY, that is both males and females, Christians and non-Christians alike, who don't have some "line" they don't cross. Even I do. But I set my line VERY low. The point is, you have to be good-looking AND thin AND with a good complextion. Life isn't as easy as *just* walking up to them after youth meeting and saying hi. If I had don't that to the girl I like in my youth group she'd ignore me. I'm ugly and it'll be the dawn of never before some girl will drop her border to date me, or to even look me in the eye.
dude, your way too hard on yourself. Nobodys that UGLY (i dont think) after all we were all made after our Creator. And its not just looks anyone could have the looks n whatever but if they have no personality to back it up , its like yea whatever see ya later because believe it or not inner beauty is a actuality well atleast to me .

Sometimes, you can accept what you view as Reality---but move beyond that and not let that determine your personality or actions. For example--I'm also not the slightest bit attractive. However, instead of worrying about it--aside from working out at the gym--I let my personality and love for Christ shine. Unltimately, you only need one girl to think that you are awesome.

Well..that's a cute phrase, but sometimes it is easier to accept Reality than to carry hope in a cute phrase. Trust me, I haven't met a beholder yet!

I do accept it, but I am allowed to show regret, aren't I? I mean, no woman has come up to me in their right mind and told me I'm ugly. I have to say it for them because they don't want to admit it. I'm hispanic. I'll be honest. I don't even know a lot of Spanish either. The girl I "fell in love with" (trust me, it couldn't have been love, because love between a man and a woman is a mutual feeling) broke my heart. She loved my personality. But I'm ugly, so she avoided me. I had to say around her that I'm ugly for her to admit it. I said that I can't meet women because of my looks -- and she agreed. I accept it just fine. I guess what I'm saying is that I'll probably be single my whole life/until the Rapture because of the looks factor. Trust me, I know you're right. I just wish that I were wrong.

Its not wierd, aren't you mixed you said? Or am I wrong?
I am half Spanish, and dang proud, you know I just hate the fact that people think well their are this or they are that so they have to act a certian way or want this or blah blah.
I am proud of all my blood... from Spanish to the English, all. I want to learn Spanish. I don't know it all that well just yet, but I know some.
What I can't stand is people that are ashamed of who they are or what they come from.
Not saying you are doing this, just randomly ranting.
Okay, um girls, yeah I am a girl. Race shouldn't matter, and if it does, don't bother with those people.
