Nothing can beat the original, honest-to-gosh version by U2. Nothing. Even Pillar's.

I love so many songs by U2. Sunday Bloody Sunday is my favourite. It is agreed that Pillar's version kicks arse. Especially live when Rob screams his lungs out.

Vertigo's a good song...but it's a wimpy song as well. It stays far from barely committing to anythign constant the song is about. If you read deep into it you realize it sort of about God and sort of not...whateva.

well, it's not nearly as deep as their other songs, but sometimes a song is only carried to fame by it's tune.

woahhh that stretch they butchered that song. The only good cover of U2 songs were by Butch Walker and the MArvelous Three
The Marvies did I Will Follow and Butch did Sunday Bloody Sunday.

funny, i thought they did an excellent job on it. :) it's one my faves on the "In the Name of Love" CD. it may not be how U2 would have done it, but a cover's not about doing it so it sounds just like the original, it's about doing a good song you like in your own style. Pillar did an excellent job at that.

the P.O.D. "Bullet the Blue Sky" is on their "Southtown" CD. the Pillar "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is on "In the Name of Love: Artist United for Africa," a compilation of various Christian artist doing U2 covers. other artists have done other random covers that would be on equally random CDs. :) unfortunately, the closest i know for one CD is the "In the Name" one.
