any othere SDS fans?
i saw them again last night and was reminded why they are one of my favorites. they are 4 men of intergrity, character, and God's heart. i really respect them.
their new cd comes out in feb. but there is some great news for these guys.
after praying for direction for their music and where God wants to take it they got an offer from Tooth and Nail Records (now owned by EMI). a lady from EMI (not a christian) loves their music (says there is something different about it) and she said she will work them into mainstream radio.
i'm really excited for these guys. they have a great message (which they aren't changing) for everyone to hear.
God is doing some awesome things...getting bands like Skillet and Seventh Day Slumber into the ears of those who need to hear their message. i am so excited.
so be listening for them. :)

that would have been awesome. they are going to be at Knott's Berry Farm New Year's Eve. Jeremy asked if we were going...i dunno. we'll see hoe $$ is and all.
do you know where in bakersfield they are coming back to? maybe we could catch another SDS concert together before the collide tour. :)
(oh, and they said how they are looking forward to touring with Skillet. said they've been friends with Skillet for awhile. so that's cool.)
their audio page loads for me. it has their song "I Know" on it. no new stuff. though what i've heard sounds so great. i'm so stoked.
their radio singles are "I Know" and "Candy".
you can hear their new single (off their new record which releases Dec. 26th to radio) "Caroline" on purevolume.

btw - this song they are going to make into a video that will be on mtv. :afro:

oh my gosh, you guys, we have a pre-release of their new album coming out Feb. 1st...it's amazing. "Caroline" is priceless. Jeremy's screaming some too (the guitarist) so that's cool. heavy guitars of the first album, but a bit more musical diversity, which i think is for the better.
"Caroline" is going to be a music video on MTV. so be on the lookout. :)

They're supposed to be promoting that new cd on the 'Collide' tour, but then does that mean the January show I'm probably going to they might have the new cd (though I still need ta' get picking up the pieces, as well) before the actual February release date?

*not arguing, just, stating* I don't really see what how big you are has to do with it. I mean, you pre-sell some of your new cd a coupla weeks in advance to people at your concerts...I would think this would just generate buzz over the cd more'n anything *shrugs*.
p.s. though what relient k was doing Sevent Day couldn't afford. At a few shows they were literally having a concert and the new cd free all for $10, it was insane. Prolly their way of making up for no other bands playing sides them, and matts voice starts to give out after like 20 minutes! I didn't get to go to the concert I was planning on, though, cause all my friends at last minute weren't able to :-\.

I played guitar for the praise band at our church camp, and our director arranged it so SDS could perform for about 2 hours to about 80 kids. It was awesome! We got to hang out with them for a few days, as well as learning some stuff on guitar. ;)

"Seventh Day Slumber has decided to clear their touring schedule for the next two months in order to tour the many refugee camps / shelters across America. Other than the commitments they have already made to previous churches and venues, Seventh Day Slumber will focus on bringing hope to these people in a time where in many cases all hope has been lost. Seventh Day Slumber will provide free concerts every night to any refugee camp or shelter that will allow them to come and play. The concerts will be open to the general public for a donation of food, water, medication, clothes, etc. After the concert there will be a time of worship and prayer. Seventh Day Slumber will provide the lights and sound equipment for the tour free of charge as well. “We are greatly saddened by this tragedy and we want to be a part of the healing process. How could we look our children in their eyes and say we did nothing!” When asked why a concert, Seventh Day Slumber simply had this to say“ It’s all we have to give, God has given us a talent and a message of hope. We want to share this message with those who so badly need it. If we can do something that will allow these hurricane victims to think about something other than their loss, even if it’s only for two hours, then don’t you think it’s worth it? We want to see 20,000 or more people come to Jesus. We want to hug them and pray with them, we want to cry with them, and hopefully laugh with them as well. The truth is, we don’t have all the answers on how to do this but we are willing to go. This will cost approximately $35,000 dollars in order to do this but we know the money will come from somewhere.” If you would like to help with the cost of this tour or know of a camp or shelter that would like to have Seventh Day Slumber, please contact Seventh Day Slumber directly at
seventhdayslumbermail@yahoo.com
We need your help. We would love for you to get involved some how. Please post this everywhere. Be relentless in posting this. This is not about promoting singles or records. This is about changing lives and bringing hope to the hopeless. Thank you for your support "

I'm a member of the SDS boards, and I know for a fact that the guys themselves have to go to wal-mart to buy their own cd's. That's why they can't afford to promote and give away their CD's. They would if they could!

It's "Finally Awake".
You can't get it yet. It's not scheduled for release until March 20. You can pre-order through Family Christian here (http://www.familychristian.com/shop/product.asp?ProdID=18100).

Sorry about that. I re-read my post and really came across as condescending. I didn't have that in mind when I wrote it and I'm sorry if it hurt you.
And I can understand your confusion. Their first single from that CD, Missing Pages, is getting some good airplay and it would makes sense that getting excited about hearing that song would lead to a CD you could immediately buy. But alas, such is no longer the case these days - like what Skillet did with Rebirthing. The first track is just to get you pumped so you'll make the mistake of pre-ordering through Family Christian so you don't get your hands on the CD until 5-7 days after you could have picked it up at WalMart. ::]
If you want more updates and information, go peek in on the fan forums over at www.seventhdayslumber.com (here's (http://7thdayslumber.proboards36.com/) a direct link to the forums if you want to skip all the confusion of going in through the front door). The folks over there are super-nice and keep the boards clean and friendly.
