I love the Carol of the Bells, it's so cool...hmmmm...and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies by Tchaikovsky from 'The Nutcracker.' And I really really like O Come, Emmanuel, it's just so pretty, but when I sing it makes me cry... :-\ :'( :-\ :( :)

Good songs. I haven't heard any other songs mentioned here, except the other one thalia mentioned [not the first one]. I didn't even know it could be considered Christmas music.

-Mary Did You Know? (I'm not sure if that's the title of the song or not.)
-Carol of the Bells. (We had our school orchestral band perform that today... but it was a rewrite by one of my friends in the band; it was really something. Awesome. Better than the original, only without the lyrics... :-\ )

Here are mine:

- "The Christmas song (Merry Christmas to you)"- Nat King Cole
(There's something about that song when he sings it that I like, can't really stand to hear other people sing it.)

-"God rest ye merry gentlemen" Jars of Clay version

- "Jingle Bell rock"- Bob Helms

-"O come, O come, Emmanuel" done instrumentally on "Old-Time Country Christmas" (Yeah it's basically country/bluegrass instruments playing Christmas carols. I'm not one for bluegrass, but I think it's a pretty good cd.)

-You gotta get up (It's Christmas morning)"- Five Iron Frenzy.

-"Easter Bunny" by Disciple. (It does talk about Santa Claus is dead, so yeah it's a holiday song lol.)

That's all I can think of.

Anyone familiar with Bright Eyes? I got his Christmas cd last year. I like him enough to tolerate more than one Christmas song. I don't 'spect anyone else knows who he is?

I've heard Bright Eyes. But I'm not sure where to find the cds. You should buy the new AP magazine, they've got a gorgeous picture in there.

I didn't know Bright Eyes did a Christmas cd?

Yeah, it was a limited release last year. All the funds went to an AIDs foundation, I believe.

My favourite Bright Eyes cd is Letting off the Happiness. I couldn't live without it. Look for the songs: If Winter Ends, The Difference in the Shades, June on the West Coast and The Calendar Hung Itself. [Though be aware of some expletives.]

I highly agree. It's a nice variation of the original. Our band in high school played it and there was a euphonium solo; I rocked it of course.
