has a new CD out in a few months!! Called "Behind the Musik", ( www.behindthemusik.com ), songs will be available at the album's site every 2 weeks, not for downloading, listening only, but another one should be up soon.

Who else here likes him?

I honestly can say that I have no respect for a musician who gets popular by writing a song about someone who is famous or getting popular by making a cover of someone elses song. *coughlimpbizkitcough*

The only song I ever heard from KJ on the radio was Dear Slim. That was his breakthrough song and he only got popular because he wrote about a contriversial artist knowing full well these hardcore Xian teens would flock to it just because it talks about Eminem. KJ isn't stupid, he knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote it and he knew what the effects would be. So suddenly you have all these anti-eminem people shoving this song down everyone's throats and it becomes instantly popular...

Had he not written this song, you would have never heard of KJ-52 seeing as all his other music is not nearly as well developed...

well some may think it's completely cheesy, but it sure did launch his music career. I liked the song until about the 10th time I heard it. I need more to my music than a repeatative beat. And that's all I can remember Air1 playing. It would be nice to have them play more than one or two songs off of any given cd, as long as the songs were good. (hey maybe they played only that one for good reason).

well, then you obviously havent listened to the lyrics of Dear Slim or Dear Slim part. 2 and havent heard any other of his songs TerraSin... he's got a good message.. doesnt have the greatest beats... but hey, he's not like Crossmovement (who rock :D)

I would like to say one thing in KJ's defense. If you don't like Hip-hop/Rap, you will most likely not like KJ.

I honestly don't listen to a lot of KJ-52 because I don't really enjoy Hip-hop/Rap, but I think he is good at what he does. I don't nessisarily like it, but I think he does a good job for those who do.

he's also a good free styler, I mean he came up with a rap about 7th grade math teachers on the spot.

really... i dont like rap either, in fact i was horrified when i heard "rock on" on the cd 17 Christian Rock Hits. but it takes talent to free style although i am not fond of it

I agree.

People! If you don't like him, please try to avoid this thread... for every band/artist, there is always someone out there to not like them/that artist. So please, there's no use for you to come here and say you don't like him. We don't want to start debates, now do we? :)

Honestly, I do think that he is good at what he does and I do enjoy a couple of this songs. I do like some Rap/Hip-Hop. Not all, but some.

His new cd, from the sound of the song clips, won't be like any of his previous projects. He has this one song he made with John Micah Sumrall (kutless) in it called Are You Real? thats good. and Thank You is good tow

Has a third song, "Never Look Away" featuring Brynn Sanchez.

I agree, this doesn't sound like anything he's done yet, and by these clips, I'm gonna love it.

As I said before, if I disagree with something or dislike something and care enough to put my .02 in (which is not a usual thing or I'd have close to 10,000 posts by now.) I do so respectfully and with reason. Not like "OMGKJrTEHSUX0RZ!!!1!1one" ;)

LOL. I see your opinion and respect it (and agree with it, somewhat). But some of his songs are good. But I will admit that much of his music gets on my nerves... like Dear Slim... it sounded like a conversation.

Most of the music of his that I like is just to joke around. *sings* Just a coke and fry and a cheeseburger... :D

*clears his throat* My point being, don't use KJ-52 as an outlet for not liking hip-hop or rap. Just because he sings it, doesn't mean he represents all of it. He's not the best example of it, either. But you have to admit that he, at least, opened it up to a whole new genre. Now all Christians won't go around saying that hip-hop and rap is evil. I'll try to develop this idea into better words now...

I am very confused here, lol. To re-iterate bob, moshing at a rap concert? And also, a two person mosh? Lol.

I can't say that I like him. I've seen his videos like 3 of them I think he has out and I don't like them. Could be because I don't like rap music that much. I do however have some friends that love rap music.
