I've been holding off posting this for a few weeks, waiting until I heard back from the band and the current PH staff had time to think about it all. It's been almost four years since I started this little place, but it's come time for me to finally step down and hand it over to someone else. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, much of the site hasn't seen any updates in quite a long time, as I've been incredibly too busy to do anything. It's hasn't been fair to me, to you all, and especially to the band. This place really needs a team of people that have the time and energy to make this place into the community that Skillet and you Panheads deserve. Believe me when I say that it is not an easy decision to let go of this place -- in fact I'm still a little nervous about it -- but I know it is the right thing to do for now. God has really been openning doors for me in other places during the last year or so, and I've just got to focus on other things in my life right now. This is not going to be an immediate switch, and I'm sure I won't be disappearing completely... I'm sure I'll be around about as much as I am now (which is to say, not a _whole_ lot) and I'll probably still help out here and there when needed. I don't know how long this transition will take, nor do I know for sure who all will be filling in; that is one of the reasons for this post.

I'm making an open invitation for anyone that is interested in helping with the site -- we've got some specific roles that I'm currently in that will need to be filled, as well as a lot of general non-technical stuff. Above and beyond the technical know-how and such, we need people that are self-motivated and really serious about wanting to help; people that are willing to put in the time and energy it takes to pull all this off. Rather than go into details here about all that, let me just say that if you are serious about helping out then go to your Group Memberships (http://www.panheads.org/boards/profile.php?do=editusergroups) and join the "Development" group. Then go to the "Development Chat" board and get more details.


(I keep rewriting this post because there's just so much I have to say, but I'll just stop and leave this initial post short like this and talk more about this later maybe.) :)

In a nutshell I would have to say the same thing.

I'm willing to help in whichever position I am capable.

I visit these boards a couple times a day. If you have a need for help, I'll be more than happy to. I was wondering if you could explain what all needs to be done? Or should I just join the Development group first?

yeah, there is a thread in the Dev Chat explaining more what we're going to need. More than that though, we don't completely know what will need to be done, because we don't know what direction PH will go. That will all be discussed and decided upon in the dev chat.

I have some freetime on the weekends I might be able to use and help. I don't know a whole lot but I could help with some of the non-tchnical items.

as for helping out any, i'd love to lend a hand any way i can, but i just don't see another other way i can be of service other than where i'm at already. but i will keep my ear to the ground for any way i can help and anybody i know that can as well.

from how i understand things, as soon as Will has time to put towards handing things over and we have people to hand things over to. there's no waiting around for things to happen here. :)

I feel stupid i just now saw this thread! well Will your awesome, its takes a lot of commitment to do this im sure! its awesome that you stuck with this so long, and got to see it flurishing! even though people take you for granted im sure (i have), thank you for everything Will!!!
