guitar is easier i think. i guess it's because i've been playing guitar longer. i find it hard to use my finger to pick. but if you're going to play bass with a pick, i guess that's not too bad.

I started with bass first and then started electric. I think bass is the easiest because you don't have to learn chords.

I'd have to say bass. The guitar is a very easy instrument to learn the basics of...but very hard to master.

Playing bass with a pick should be a sin :D Finger calus!!! Anyway, I find guitar harder, but thats because my left hand hates me and I have to hit it on the wall to get it to move faster... I play bass because I think its fun, and they lay down the rhtym, and the drums too :D Sadly, there should be more bass solos...

Bass is deffinetly easier to learn. I tried to play guitar for a little while, but I kept forgetting how to play chords. Also, I kinda didn't even wanna try guitar, but i felt obligated because my brother gave me a guitar (only cause it was a cheap peice of junk). But, I wanted to play bass, not guitar.

God bless, alien

I learned to play bass in 10 minutes.
I still haven't been able to learn how to play an acoustic, let alone electric, and I've had one for a few years now.

That help?

bass. Ive been playin guitar for 2 and a half years now. I play a bass for fun some times just to switch it up. If u master the guitar its a whole lot more fun.

I learned to play a bass fairly quickly. I still can't play a guitar... so that says something right there. LOL

I only play the bass to get the root of the chord into my head...then I play the guitar to fill in the rest of the chord.

I like how bass plays the deep thumping. I love super deep and loud bass. everything has to have bass in it. otherwise it doesn't seem right. It sounds especially good through a rack and a tube amp. (mm mmm)

He he, its also fun to shake the windows and posters in your room... I knocks stuff off the wall in the room above mine, and I have a puny 90 Watt amp

yeah. we have a subwolfer (sp?) that in FL whenever we watched movies are house would shake and that windows would rattle. same with music. it is such a nice system.

Listening to Lord of the Rings with the bass cranked it the gretest thing ever... makes the movie a lot cooler...

Can you tell everyday if you are getting better at playing?
also, I just picked up this little pink panther tune by just hearing someone else play it and I have only had my bass for a week. And before I bought my bass guitar I never ever touched a guitar before that. And I already learned a tune in a week.

Bass guitar produces more sub-frequency sound waves than a guitar. That's why bass guitars use a thicker, denser string than a guitar.
