The show was cutting edge for it's time when you consider where we were when it came to special effects because basicaly it was the stone age. Just like Battlestar Galactica was with explosions and lazer fire. Also like Buck Rogers was with the use of blue screen which if I'm not wrong they now use green screen.
However I did really enjoy the movie. If it weren't for the split screen stuff I think it would have done better. However tho I understand what the director was trying to do it still wasn't very appealing to most...

You have no idea what good tv is ::]. Yeah cartoons are ok but the Hulk is so much cooler I mean he goes around destroying things when he gets mad. What could be better ;D. Ok yeah you're probably thinking she's lost it but I seriously think it's more entertaining then most shows.
You are right though see him without his shirt is kinda weird :D

one thing that gets me is I think people expect to much from a movie about a comic book character. Sometimes you get lucky like with the Spiderman movies but hey there's bound to be something hoakie about it when it's based on a comic book.

true. it depends on the comic book too. Mystery Men isn't supposed to be taken seriously (it actually is a comic book series). X-Men was done well, mostly due to the fact that they dropped the weird costumes and went with a realistic approach to things. we'll see how the Fantastic Four does this summer (tho, i am looking forward to it. :))
