I have the Ardent version of Collide but I want to get the Lava version as well. I was disapointed to find that the Skillet store does not have it, only the Ardent version. None of the music stores in my area have it.
Are there any web-based music sellers that have it and that take money orders? (I don't do the credit card thing)
I'e thought about going to one of the music stores in my area and having them order it for me, but should I go to the Christian store or the regluar old music store? I am afraid that since the Lava version is a msinstream version that the Christian store may not be able (or may not want) to order it.
Any ideas/help are greatly appreciated!

I got the Christian store here to order it........they'll order any Christian CD for me.
Probably a better chance in the regular CD store though

If you have a Best Buy or a Media Play near you, I'm sure they have it.

Yeah, Best Buy will have it. Or amazon.com. Or half.com. Or ebay.com.
Just buy it. Even if it is used.

yeah I wasn't about to buy another cd for just one song and a snippet of footage. now if you could get one on ebay for say 4 bucks then it might be worth it.. that is until you consider shipping costs...

same here, but then again, i used my Ardent version to spread the wealth (i.e. i gave it to a friend who didn't have any Skillet CDs).

My family bought a copy when it came out - then bought another for my friend. I think overall we must have around 5 Collide cds in the house...

It may not make sense to buy the CD twice, but take supporting the band into account. Make sense now?

No, just cause you like or even love a band is no reason to spend all your money on re-buying their cd's :P. Not everyone has cash to throw around, in fact some less than others. For those that do, and actually want to do such, go for it, but for the general majority, it's too much of an expense.

i don't consider it throwing money around when you are supporting their ministry. and it's not their fault it had to be re-released. *cough*ardent*cough*
but i understand if money's tight. i got it opening week it came out on sale. ($10, i think.)

Because Ardent Records didn't have the decency to wait 4 months for Skillet to finish the contract with Lava Records to release Collide hence they had a split crowd. What this means is that when Ardent released Collide, it was only released to the Xian stores, which means it wasn't promoted to any type of secular radio at the time. Savior reached #1 on the Xian radio stations all over. Then the rerelease came out and they started promoting it on secular stations and it reached 23(?) on the rock charts.
Now, imagine if Ardent would have had the patience to wait and release at the same time as Lava. Savior probably would have hit #1 on the top 10 because the hype would have been really strong. But because it was previously released, there was no hype when it was released to secular radio. Ardent practically killed Skillet's chance on breaking into mainstream for Collide because of it. That is why we blame Ardent. Not to even mention they are 100% slackers who don't do anything to promote their bands. It's very sad...

Well, we know that. :> I was just talking about Ardent at the time. I have a whole list of rants towards Lava too. ;)
