so i hear in florida they are under a fire warning because it hasn't been raining.

here in california homes are being flooded. mud slides. sink holes....deaths. it's crazy.

so my request is for everyone's safety during all of these different weather patterns. (including city workers, firefighters, police, paramedics, etc.)

i'll do my best to pray for all of you in cali and my birth state.

Sink holes are hazardous. Some can be a whole mile long, and some are even bigger! I'll sure pray about it.

So: how's everyone faring today? I heard that there have been tornados in southern California, which, from what I've heard, is a rarity. Mudslides, tons of snow, etc. All you Californians will be in my thoughts and prayers: makes my cold weather seem like nothing.

we had a tornado touch down up here as well, in Sacramento. according to the fire department it did hundreds of thouands of dollars in damage. and no, we are not located anywhere near tornado alley. ;)

you no, not to be hysterical or anything, but the bible does predict frantic weather patterns. Not to be mean, but the countries that got hit by the Tsunamis were all huge persicuters of Christians, is this all a coincidence? just a thought...

and yes, that mudslide was tragic, so many tradgedies...

Let's stick to praying for the people effected by these weather events than considering reasons for why they happened in the first place, thanks.

yeah, i think it is supposed to start raining sunday...but we're getting a few days for things to air out.

glad to hear that people on these boards are toughing out the weather without a whole lot of serious damage. (glad the tornado did get near you mike.)

and yeah, tornados in Cali are rare because (if i understand it correctly) we usually never get enough moisture for them to form. Cali is usually pretty dry...not as much humidity at all, esp. compared to the rest of the U.S. (minus AZ)

oh, and thank you everyone for praying!

Never trust long-term forecasts; they can change. Last year's season wasn't supposed to be as violent as they predicted.

And hurricane season always starts earlier in the Pacific Ocean.

WOW that unexpected T-storm was so bad the other night! A lightning bolt struck just down the street from my house, it left all the people in my area powerless from 3am till 11am, it fried a couple of transformers and my VCR!
