I had this posted in "picture this" but i moved it here after i saw this thread....BEARDS!!!....I have had mine for going on twenty years now....Its my trademark....and Mrs J3 likes it.
Besides beards have many uses....they keep your face warm and the are great for catching food in that you can eat later. ;D
I had to shave it once because i had a bet with a guy at work that the orioles would have a better record then his team....we both had beards and the loser had to shave...i felt naked untill i was able to grow it back.
Beards rock....Jesus had a beard,Moses had a beard,Lincoln had a beard(Abe not Brewster)...alot of great men had beards
So i guess you could say i like my beard ;)

pink is right. it really depends on the guy. some guys look good in gotees or sideburns, but others would look positively awful (IMO). ::]

i cannot grow much. it takes so long. i have fine hair (on my face only, which sucks) and it's blonde as well, so even when i do have something, it's hard to see. and takes forever to get anywhere. currently i'm working on a gotee like Doc Holliday in "Tombstone" (he's the guy on the right) (http://imdb.com/gallery/ss/0108358/Ss/0108358/fcstil_0355.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0108358).

I've almost always got a goatee going. Everyone I know is always suprised and disappointed when I shave it off, so apparently it looks good on me! :D Anyway, I've been toying with the idea of growing mine out kind of like Wayne Static. ;D

Personally, I've had to get used to facial hair. My dad has a big fuzzy beard, plus I have three brothers who almost always have some sort of facial hair.
I like gohawks. One of my brothers has a gohawk, it's so awesome hehe. Then my other brother's trademark is his red gotee. He's got brownish hair on his head, but it naturally turns red on his face. It sounds kinda weird but it looks really good on him.

Me too. Except only if it's thick enough to not look silly. And one to two days is good. I always thought my ex-fiance looked the best the day after he shaved and the next day as well. But three days was too long.

mine isn't quite thick enough. it's not high enough on my cheeks and it's still pretty thin. next year it should be better though... but i like the semi-scruffy look too.

My friend hadn't shaved in about three days and it wasn't that bad at all but my other friend told him that he looked like child molester...

my friends started calling me sasquatch when i had my little chin thingy. it was funny.
I've had a goatee for a few years. I can't shave every day due to skin dryness during winter, so every other day I have this scruffy "haven't shaved in a few" look going on. I am however, growing my goatee out a la David Crowder. Probably not as big and poofy as his is though.

(Yes, I'm 21, and my friends are older than I am, no we don't get drunk. We sit and play cards or dominoes over a cold beer every once in a while. A 12 pack would last me at least a year.)
I go and buy Halo 2 for my new Xbox 360, and the guy cards me. Kinda sad if you ask me.

once i grew out sideburns, everyone thought i was even older. before, people thought i was about 16. now that i am 16 and have sideburns, i've had people confuse me as a 19-20 year old. sideburns really square my face, plus they make long hair look better on me. i just can't wait until my beard is finally thick enough to have the semi-scruffy look.
Today I was combing my hair and got my comb stuck in my beard. The first time that's ever happened to me. Pulling that knot out really hurt. :)

my face looks fat when my hair is short. idt i'll ever let my hair get cut really short again. if i do, i'll either have it bald or a mohawk. or a fohawk. idk. but then i'd have to grow some other facial hair style. possibly a full beard like the dude in Demon Hunter.

I'm not particularly into sideburns either. Unless they go with a full beard, but then only if you take care of it and at least semi-trim it and it's not nasty-looking. I kinda like the goatee look better, but that's beside the point.
But yeah... facial hair on men is insanely good-looking, in my opinion.

Good for you! I remember back in grade 7 when some guys started growing mustaches but didn't shave them...I thought it was creepy. Wait until you can get the goatee, than it'll look good.

Well, that might not be true. Facial hair isn't for everybody, you never know if its going to look good until you try though. :)

For me, if I shaved every day, my skin would be one gigantic red patch. I have horrendously sensitive skin. This is why I only shave to trim, and have a goatee or beard. Makes it easier for me.

With all the hair on your body it has a 'terminal length' which is where your hair is to the point where it loses more hair than it grows so in essence your hair doesn't get any longer.

That is so funny, I'm almost the same with my boyfriend. Though he likes his gotee because it makes him look older (and is partially lazy). I'm always making him shave ... I can't do the facial hair, to prickly! I, on the other hand, haven't gotten used to it, but we will see how that goes in the next couple years. ;)

I just did this big musical that i mentioned before, and three of the other guys all had to have crazy beards for it. Anyways so this sunday they all had shaved and i hadn't seen them shaven for... a long time so it was quite the shock.
haha. I've had my goatee for...4 years now? something like that. I couldn't shave it. I like it way too much, so much so that I'm now growing it out long (think david crowder's goatee without the miracle-gro).

i recently shaved off my chin warmer. It was really more like Doc Holiday's gotee in "Tombstone" (see below). It took forever to grow, but i was getting tired of it.
