Thats so true if were prideful he can't use us God wants us to humble ourselves ,so he can work in us .

" God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"

But sometimes i gotta admit im pretty prideful and i see a big diffrence between when im saying" no i dont want to" to being on my knees praying and asking the lord what it is he wants from me.I can tell a change each time he is breaking me and molding me into a better character each and every time live and learn.
