I posted this in the prayer requests earlier, but I felt that it needed its own thread so that I can up date on how this guy is doing.

There is a teacher at my school who's husband is dying. He used to teach at the school also, but left when his wife had a baby three years ago. Well not too long ago he was having trouble breathing and went to a doctor to get it checked out, and they found that he had a tumor that was cancerous. They thought they had gotten all of it out, but found more cancer in his right lung(maybe left, but still a lung). He has been very weak and went back a little while ago and the doctors are taking out his lung completely. The problem is that there might be some cancer in his other lung in which case the doctors will not be able to save him. They say that if there is any cancer in his other lung that he will have up to a year to live. This guy is only in his 30's and a great man. I never had him as a teacher, but from what I know about him from others and what I've experienced with him at least in the hallways he's awesome. I know it would hurt the entire school greatly if he were to die. Another thing is that he has two children the oldest of which is only about three years old.

I ask for prayer for this former teacher and his wife and whole family. I ask for prayer that they would not find cancer in his other lung because I don't want to see any more death in that family than already has (the wife's father died when he was in his early 50's of a heart attack).

the teacher came to school today and his wife spoke at chapel. she didn't say much about his condition, but we were told that the doctors found an abnormality on his left side(which was the clean side with no cancer). please pray for them as this is a hard time.

Oh my, I will certainly pray for him.
