A very dear brother of mine, a brother in the Lord Jesus Christ passed away just days ago. I wish to share with you my brother's obituary to honor his memory. I also want to share his obituary with you to give you even a little background on this great man of God so that you might pray for his family. God bless you all!

Rev. Phillip Michael Rauch

Rev. Phillip Michael Rauch, age 30, of Saranac, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 12, 2005 in Saranac. He was born November 11, 1974 in Grand Rapids the son of David and Ardith (Allers) Rauch. He graduated from Comstock Park in 1992. He went on to Davenport College graduating in 1999 with a bachelors degree. He married Kerry Selby August 1, 1992. Rev. Rauch was the Youth Pastor at the Free Methodist Church in Saranac before becoming the full time Pastor in 2001. He was active with Youth Ministries of the North Michigan Free Methodist Conference. He was a Club Master in Saranac and a past member of the Saranac Youth Center Board.

He is survived by his loving wife Kerry Rauch of Saranac; children, Katrina, Mason, and Kayne of Saranac; parents David and Sara Rauch of Wyoming, Ardith and Richard Slocum of Grand Haven; brother David Rauch of Chase; grandparents, Florence and Virgil Allers of Big Rapids; mother-in-law Karen and Ivan Wonch of Stanwood; brothers-in-law, Chris Wonch of Grand Rapids, Jon Wonch of Stanwood; sisters-in-law Melissa Blizzard of Grand Rapids, Mary Wonch of Stanwood and two nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Saranac Community Church with Rev. Nate Gibbons, Rev. Gary Cruce, Rev. Byron Davies, and Pastor Sean Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives today 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. A memorial has been established at Independent Bank in Saranac for the family of Rev. Phillip Rauch. Online condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com.
