I don't know where exactly they've all been, but recently there have been quite a few larger ones (I know one occurred in San Bernardino County). Just checking up and seeing how our California peeps are doing. Let us know.

thanks for checking up on us california folk. :)
from where i am at, i've only felt shakes here and there. nothing serious. we had i think about 4 in 1 week...which is rare. they usually aren't that frequent.
at one point there was a tsunami warning for everyone from the mexican/california border to vancouver, bc. but thankfully it got cancelled and nothing came of it. so that is a praise report right there.
how did my fellow californians do with the quakes?

to be honest, the earthquakes don't scare me. i'd be more nervous about tornados and hurricanes.
one thing is for certain - in the face of any natural disaster we are forced to take another look at our lives and see what is most important to us. personally, it's a healthy reflection for me.
thank you for your prayers sully4Him. :)

myself, i'm too far north for the quakes down south to have gotten to us (not that they never do, they just didn't this time).
but the quake off the coast was right to the west of me. good thing it only raised the water a couple inches and i'm so far inland (way to be selfish and care about all the people on the coast, mike).
the normal Cali quake isn't anything to worry about. it's those '89 San Francisco types that are killer (literally).

That's funny. I have experienced serval tornadoes and hurricanes, but they don't scare me. I would be "afraid" of earthquakes. I think it depends on what you are use to and what you feel like you are trained to be prepared for. I would have no idea what to do in an earthquake! Yet, I know what to do in a toranadoe or hurricane.

(And Mike thought he was selfish...)

We been having alot of earthquakes but the news says its nothing to worry about and somewhere off the california coast a 7.0 hit and a tsunami warning was issued but called off an hour or so later.
I don't mind it much though the only reason I do care is because im by the san andres fault and I heard alot of rumors of what could happen but doubt their creditability.

i was in a tornado once. nobody got hurt in our family even though it was an F5. so they don't scare me. tsunamis terrify me, however. but i'm in kansas, so i don't hafta worry about that, do i?

In order for a Tsunami to happen their has to be a body of water(lake or ocean)nearby. Its usually started by and earthquake, landslide, volcanic eruption that
generates these series of waves but its not always deadly but of course it can be. I happen to live in california which is right by the pacific ocean though I think im too far in the center to be impacted (I think san francisco is more of a concern)if one were to hit.

California has lots of earthquakes but they say we're on a fault line too. One time a geologist said we should prepare for natural disasters (other than tornadoes) but it seems like everyplace has them. Moving is an option, but its good they have more awareness about the areas now.
