We are having this thing in our youth group, its our summer games we have these games where we split everyone in our youth group into teams, and we play games to get points and at the end we got to a theme park and they get to get in for free....well this years theme is Fast food restrunts...there is Mcdonalds, Burger King, Wendeys, And Rallys (or chekcers whereever you live) and i was just wondering what is your favroite fast food place?

Wendy's. I usually get the baked potato with bacon and cheese, and a small frosty, or french fries, or water.

Ok, Fast food is like my guilty little pleasure. But you know what I hardly ever eat it cause I HATE spending money. So it's only for special occasions. But I really like Wendys', Umm...ahem Spicy Chicken Sandwich (but i get it with the ceaser salad). And even though alot of my friends hate McDonalds, I secretly do like it. And I like Taco Bell as well. Hmmm...oh and A&W- Teen Burgers all the way. And yeah I think those are my favs. We don't have alot of the same fast food resturants here in canada as you guys do in the states i.e In n Out Burger, Jack in the Box, Sonic, Checkers, Whataburger, Krispy Kremes (even though technically it's not like..burgers and fries junk food)

Subway=turkey on wheat, sometimes with cheese, green peppers, sweet peppers, abit of lettuce, and mustard. AND sometimes I get it toasted.

Ok here's what you guys need to try at Subway: Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Italian Herb & Cheese bread, with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives (if you like them) and Southwest sauce. Holy smokes! it is so good. And the Pizza Sub and Tuna are all my favs.

It depends...everyone just assumes salad is healthy, but a lot of time the dressing that they give you has SO MUCH fat in it, it's just as bad as French fries (which I refuse to eat anymore). taco stands are ish, im sure they have them in cali, but nothing beats a nice carne asada taco in mexico, and at a buck a piece a five dollor dinner is a feast!

i would have to say my favorite is taco bell; i get a cheesy gordeta crunch and a medium dr pepper, but the meatball marenara from subway is really good too (the italian herb and cheese bread is wonderful)

I only eat at wendy's because of a nice discount I get, and I don't eat there everyday. I prefer to eat at home. If I get hungry I just wait a few more minutes. It's healthier, AND cheaper.

I love Quiznos! More than Subway actually, although every time I go there, I'm usually having a bad day. It just works out that way.

I'm partial to Chick-fil-a. It doesn't help that the University I'll be attending in the Fall has one on campus. :P

I like them for a number of reasons: their chicken sandwhiches are amazing (not to mention unhealthy! :D ), they're a Christian organization so they're not open on Sundays, their milkshakes have 800+ calories (did I mention unhealthy?), their food is so good, etc.

Ah, so it's a Southern and Mid-West thing. Yeah, I've heard of the place before, but never seen one.

On the same topic [hope this isn't too off topic]...

I read an article recently that suggested that the people who are becoming more overweight are actually acting with economic rationality.

It would make sense initially to eat healthy in order to live longer. But the article suggests that the cost of being healthy is greater now than it used to be.

Technology has improved which makes it cheaper to by ready-make food [microwave or fast food] instead of taking the time to prepare a meal oneself. A drop in price suggests a greater quantity demanded and therefore consumed.

Also because jobs these days are less physically demanding we don't burn as many calories during day to day activities. So now we have to spend money [to pay for a gym membership/exercise equipment, etc.] and give up leisure time in order to burn off the extra calories.

So the opportunity cost of exercising has increased while the cost of unhealthy food has decreased.

Just something I thought was interesting...

That actually makes a lot of sense. Funny how being "economic" is in a sense killing us. (Yes, I know I'm over simplifying.)

I honestly did think about it, but the problem is that I already know that fast food isn't healthy. So the book would simply be a confirmation of that knowledge, only it probably would attempt to gross out readers to get them to accomplish its purposes.

im gonna have to start reading that in another week for health 250. health in college is a joke, you shouldnt be forced (you pretty much are) to take a class that doesnt apply to your major. sure its great for high school so you might make better lifestyle choices, but forcing it on paying college students is rediculous.

Anyway, back to Fast Food: I ate at a place called Five Guys the other day, its a small chain that's growing.. Their food was so good. It was very greasy and has probably twice the fat of any McDonalds Burger, but its made out of real beef and the fries are really good to. While you wait for your food they also have all-you-can-eat peanuts. :lick:

I like Culvers. They have the Best butterburgers and yumyum ice cream

there's this little gas station in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania that has the best hoagie[i hate that word] sandwiches in the whole flippin world.

those jimmy john's commercials are obnoxious. makes me glad I timeshift everything on my dvr...I'm able to fast forward through it.

I used to weigh 200Lbs. Considering I'm 5'9", that's a bad thing. After I started eating subway instead of fast food I've lost 15 lbs. still wanting to lose another 10 or so, but it's a good start. Fast food is bad for you, and once my metabolism slowed down when I got older I gained tons of weight.
