Hey, i've been sittin here wondering why does God care about us?? Why did he create a race of ppl that is never gonna fully respect him, and give him wot he deserves?? Why did he lets his only son be brutily nailed to a cross, when half of humanity does not give a stuff about it?? Why is he interested in me personally, i can never live up to everything he expects??

short answer: love.

yup, it's that simple and yet so complex.

"why does God care about us?" because we are His children, made righteous through the blood of His Son. He sees the potential in us to be someone great [despite the many times we don't see it in ourselves]. God is a God of second chances. a God of mercy and forgiveness.

Why did He create mankind?
God is love. and love gives. so He chose to give life to a race of people [made in His image]. and even when mankind fell to the deception of sin, God wouldn't give up on us - and He is still loving waiting for all who will call out His name for forgiveness and mercy. He decided to make a plan of salvation for us. by sending His Son in our place. even when we forced the nails through His hand, He still asked for God's forgiveness on our behalf ["Father, forgive them - do not hold this against them. they don't know what they are doing."]

why?

because He didn't want to face eternity without us. [amazing...]

why is He interested in you personally?

NZ_Panhead - know that God made you just the way you are for a reason. He knows that you [along with the rest of mankind] cannot live up to His expectations. that is why He sent Jesus to us. that through Him we can know His love and presence. He sees beauty in you. He sees purpose in you. He loves variety .

there is really only one thing that He asks of you. and that is you. He wants all of you- mind, will, emotions, body, soul, spirit, strengths, weaknesses...give it all to Him. and watch Him bless your life...watch Him take your life and use it in ways you would never expect.

i echo the words of Paul in Romans 12:1-2 [The Message Translation]:

[i]So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it in the hands of God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity. God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

[and that goes for all of us.]

We are the out pouring of God's love. His expression and image. Sin corrupted us, but God through his son restores us unto him, so we can live a life pleasing to God and manifest his glory to all the heavens.

Yup, God is Love.

I love how we are described as Jesus' bride. I love to write and illustrate and here is the picture that Jesus showed me while walking with Him.

God, the Almighty King of the Heavens, created a special bride for His son, the Prince. Now Jesus loved this precious girl very much and couldn't wait to one day marry her as she had the King's favor.
Unfortunately the enemy came and deceived her. Sin took over and destroyed this girl to the point that the King had to banish her from His kingdom of light. The Prince was heartbroken but refused to give up on her. Daily the enemy would come before the King and demand that He and the Prince forget about her and would constantly remind them of her betrayal, diminished beauty, and shattered purity.
One day the Prince looked out over the vast Kingdom of creation to where she had been banished. His heart filled with love and a longing to be with her again but she was no longer of the Kingdom of Heaven. There was only one way that she could be brought back into favor with His Father. He needed no time to think about His decision to go and save her. His Father's love for the girl was vast and unending. He loved her so much that He would send His only Son to save and redeem her.
In the beginning she looked and waited for Him to come to her and rescue her but when He finally arrived, part of her rejected Him. For she could not believe that true love existed.
To prove His love for her, the mighty Prince gave up His place in Heaven to become like she was. In the end, He sacrificed His life for her in every way. Battling the dark enemy, the Prince took the keys of death and hell and forever set His precious bride free. These keys and His scars were presented before His Father as testimony to His sacrifice. The King then abolished, forever, the banishment of the bride and through His Son's shed blood, washed her white as snow, restored all the years the enemy had stolen, and redeemed her purity in every way.

That's how I think about it. He came down and died for us because He unconditionally loved us that much. God created each of us for a purpose and He wants us to live that out so that we are truely fulfilled. As we surrender more of ourselves to Him (as we wait for Him), the more we become what He created us to be. Less of us, more of Him.

The biggest thing God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit want from us, is a wonderful, intimate, and loving relationship that goes deeper and deeper every moment. That's the great thing I love about my relationship with Jesus, is that, I'm learning more and more just what True Love is and through that Jesus has been showing just how to love those around me and eventually that special soulmate He has for me.
Read His Word to you, that's an awesome love letter from God. He wants so much to protect and guide you and to convict and forgive you as you walk along with Him through this life. Talk with Him, just talk, there is not, never has been, one right way to talk to God, just be who He created you as and simply pour out your heart to Him. Ask Him to help you see with His eyes and heart and help you dive deeper into the relationship that is Him.

It's late as I type this, so I hope it makes sense, please tell me if it doesn't. Also sorry I didn't post any scripture, I usually love to do that =^_^=

we were created to have a relationship with God he didnt want something like a barbie that he controlled the emotion and feelings . if you read about adam and eve god talked to them alot just for the relationship and after the fall of man we werent worthy of that relationship so jesus had to take the punishment of sin for us so that we can be in right relation with god and live with him forever if you can remember befor sin entered the world there was no death we were always going to live forever but now we have to die first to live eternaly hope that helped

thanks tracy, that was very well put.

& thank you lion. no matter how many times i hear of why Jesus came down & all He did for us, i can't help but praise Him for how wonderful & love-filled He is. o/

but i do have to point out another aspect of God that hasn't been mentioned. combined with Love, this was the reason we, humans, were created. God is a creative being. it takes a LOT of imagination to think up things to diverse & yet still similar like what He thot up. everything i draw ends up looking so similar. just like drumming. if you aren't careful, you end up doing the same beat every time you play.

but God made things so diverse. not solely because He like things that way, but because it stretched Him (ok, now here is where i hypothesize). when you have a talent, you want to use it to your best. in order to be your best, you need to stretch yourself. i know God is all-powerful so He doesn't really have to stretch, but at the same time He does. Jesus was stretched when He died on the cross (He did it, even tho He didn't want to).

so, the Creative God wanted to make stuff. so He makes the earth & everything in it. then He makes us for the Love aspect. Love isn't any good if you don't have someone to Love. so He makes us. but it's not just so He can Love us, but also so we can Love Him. like someone said, He doesn't want automatons (robots) to serve & worship Him. worship isn't real if there is no free-will behind it. God knows this, & yet His Love was/is so great that He was willing to ahead with all of it anyway. our God is so much more than Awesome!

Love is only love when we can choose.

That is why adam and eve COULD sin and go away from God. (They didn't have to.) (The perfect love stays, but we didn't have it in us, only God did/has.)

If we can't go away from someone, you can't love that person, cause simply you have to stay with him/her. But when you can go away, but choose to stay, then that is love.

There can only be love, if there is a way to leave.
There can only be love, if you can let someone go.

See that is what makes God so awesome. He CAN leave us. But he has chosen to stay and call us back to him. Because God is love, he has a choice to leave. And what makes it so awesome is that he chooses everyday to stay with us. He never changes! He is perfect love. If only we could grasp within what this love really is.

It's not said nor understood, just believed and experienced deeper than any love between ppl.

It's like you go into God's love and you are restored and healed, not because of something God does, but because he is there, and all you do is take it in. You can marvel at it, but it just remains, like a glympse of eternity caught in a moment. And just for a while nothing else really matters. It's like a wholeness, a part of you, and yet it is God. It emmanates from you, but it isn't yours. It is his'. The great Ancient of Days, the God-With-Us, Emmanuel, Jesus Christ.

It's like the first Matrix movie: No one can be told what God's love is, you have to experience it yourself.

God may I experience your love, full of holiness and grace. In Jesus name. Amen
