As most of you probably know, I'm a die hard Led Zeppelin fanatic. Like, really die hard, I love Led Zeppelin a lot type fanatic. Anyways, there are few bands that are comparable to the greatness that is t3h Zeppelin, and one of them is Pink Floyd. For those of you who don't know, they put out the following best selling albums:

The Dark Side of the Moon
The Wall
Wish You Were Here
Animals

Plus several others that are quite good. Any of you guys into Pink Floyd?

not much into 70's 80's music but i know without the kedgends of back than we whouldnt have such great music as today.

They definitely were, but last time I checked stoner rock was considered rock and roll done by extreme drug users that often performed stoned, and the 3 bands I mentioned more than fit into that category. :)

Anyways, after listening to 8 hours of live Pink Floyd, then 5 hours of live Zeppelin, I've come to this conclusion.

Led Zeppelin > Pink Floyd

Hrmmm.... I wouldn't ay these are necessarily better unless you're in the right mood, but there's always AC/DC, Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, Queen, and I really can't think of anymore right now. dead brain...

AC/DC is good when I'm mad, a few songs especially, although they were never my cup of tea. Bob Dylan is amazing, Tangled Up In Blue is one of my favorites. Queen was never in my interest either. Nice with the Dylan, I don't find many people who like him.

Yup. My dad actually managed to hook me with some of his older music... All of the Blood On The Tracks album was great.

We already have a thread on them.

Anyways, I have all of their albums except for "More" and "Obscured by Clouds". Pink Floyd, is tied with Led Zeppelin for my favorite band, that's why Animals is my avatar, and the lyrics to "Money" are in my sig. I like Waters era the most, followed by Barret era, then Gilmour era.
