Does anyone know if there is any way to hear the release party that was played over radiou now that it is over?

They recorded the show last night. I don't know anymore info than that.

I tell you what, it's not the release party, but if you check out radiou.com you can hear an audio interview with Skillet. I just found out about it yesterday and I just checked it's still there.

yeah, they didn't air the show live [like Yes FM did], but they did broadcast live from the show. did one tiny interview with John.

but yeah, go to the Riot and towards the end of the show is a funny interview with Skillet. :)

they use to play all their cd release parties here in Memphis

they've definately upset a lot of the hometown crowd...they don't come by here near as much as they use to...I use to seem them 2-3 times a year (once they got big), now I'm lucky to see them once a year...kinda sad...I mean, it's Memphis

That's because Skillet actually has a bigger fanbase now in Ohio.

Additionally, John doesn't like playing Memphis very much because the last couple times they've been, their crowds have sucked. John said that he felt that they had overplayed Memphis and that it needed some time to recover.

overplayed? they've been maybe once or twice the past 2 years...after "Hey You, I Love Your Soul" they played a couple of shows and that was about it. t

The last shows that skillet has played in memphis the tickets have sold out the first day...they've had to keep moving it to bigger and bigger places each time they come because they fill up wherever they go.

They played an acoustic set before alien youth at a christian bookstore and the place was packed with people. I think he just doesnt like the city, period, not that i blame him.

I mean, when you help make a band get huge you kind of feel betrayed when they completely stop coming back.

And of course they have a bigger fanbase in Ohio than Memphis...ones a state and the other is a city ;)

I could care less, I got to see them before they got huge (and in my opinion were a better band) so I'm content...but a large portion of the memphis fans have given up on skillet, and I really don't blame them
