I might be getting a new job soon, after being unemployeed since the begining of the summer. I'm not going into details and stuff yet, but pray that I will follow God's will which hopefully means getting this job.

I am now the Assistant Media Director (or Media Director's Assistant?) at my church. It basically means that I am going to be part responsible for managing in service audio, videos, service slides, and recordings. I think this will be an interesting job, and I'm certain that I will enjoy it.

I got a promotion, temporarly...

Well, it looks like we are going to be getting a full time media director, but until then I was going to be the assistant of the guy who was the interim. well, since he was busy with other things, he quit the Media Director postition. Since I was the assistant and have been working with him for a while, I asked if I could take the Media Director's position in the remainder of the interim time.

I think I can do it, but this is by far the most responsibility in a job I've ever had, so I am a little concerned that I don't have the "director" experience. If it's a sucsess, then it will look very good on a resume, especially for the type of work I'm looking to get into.

Pray that I do well with this new position and that I can glorify God through all of it.

Wow, that's a fairly large congregation. I was talking to a few guys I know about how churches lose meaning when they get into the thousands. Those mega-churches you know? Why not split em up into smaller congregations?
