Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with something?? Well. . . this past summer God and I had a real great "relationship" with all the praying and everything and I was totaly in love with Him. But now. . . I just feel emty :'( and I don't know what to do. . . I've been praying and stuff like that but I'm really scared because every day I feel that I'm falling farther and farther from the grace of God. :'( Anyone have any sugestions on what to do??? Thankyou for all of your guys's time.

i know what you mean. i've gone through times like that as well. it's really what the song Collide talks about.
There's something deep inside
It keeps my faith alive
When all you can do is hide from the fear that's deep inside of you
Something to hold me close when I don't know
There's something deep inside that keeps my faith alive
God is still there, whether you feel Him or not. many times it's the times we feel our emptiest that make us prepared for what heights God wants to bring us to next. it's these times of brokenness that bring us so much closer & deeper with God.
look at King David. after he committed adultery & the prophet Nathan pointed out to him his wrong doing (rather frankly), he was so broken for God. look at Psalm 51 & tell me that he wasn't broken for God. but once God took him out of that, he was so close with God. he's known as the "man after God's own heart." wow! for someone who blew it so big, that's awesome!
take a look at 2 Samuel 11 & 12 while you're looking at Psalm. it's the actual story. :) very good read.
It is a blessing and not a curse. God lets us experience him, but when we experience him, we associate God with the feeling and not God with God. So he has to take the feeling away, so we may learn that he is God no matter how we feel.
Thank God for taking you through this. Remember his hand is in it.
If it's because of sin, you must repent, but if it is just a feeling, then know and learn that God is still with you. All God's children go through it. We must love God for who he is, for himself and not what we can receive.
It is not easy, it is the hardest of all things to learn. But if you keep on trusting God in it, you will come out the other side much more mature and usefull for God. See it as training, keep on praying and seeking God.

Thats right. When the emotional high comes back down and it seems like everyday life is the same, God is still there with you. Just be in your Word, dying daily to yourself, and praying that God would change and mold you and use you. And most importantly, tell Him that you feel you are falling away... he will let you know he is still there.
