After going to the release parties in Ohio, I learned that Skillets road manager/sound engineer Jonathan only has 4 shows left with the band before he takes a year off the road. Skillet just doesn't sound the same when he isn't with them. He is deffinately one of the best engineers I've heard and it will be a sad loss for the band for a while.
On an up note, he told me he is taking the time off to work on his own business and get some other issues in order, so the time will do him well. With all hope, we will see him with the band again in 1 years time. :)

I suppose that's a good thing though. Everyone needs some well deserved time off...especially if you're on the road a lot.

that is sad. :'( but it's also good. he'll be missed, but it'll be better in the end & that's what matters.
too bad he couldn't he wait until after shows in feb. i was planning on going to one of the SoCal ones. ;)

aw man, i'll miss jonathan. i knew he had thinking about this for awhile. i'm glad to hear it isn't permanent though. just a break.

yes he will be missed, but of course he deserves a break after all the work he has done for these guys. We will all be greatful when he returns i'm sure! :)

exactly. rest is an essential part of living. that's why God commanded that every seventh year the Israelites let their land go fallow. even the ground needs rest.
