I've been gettin' into this lately. Anybody else heard Bryce's stuff? (The "band's" only member is Bryce Avary -_^) I didn't like it so much at first, but the vocals have an almost a child-like quality that really grows on you. Check it out if you haven't heard it and are in the mood for some "nice" music - http://www.therocketsummer.com/index.php (the 'Listen' link should take you to purevolume if it isn't still down...).
edit: OMG! This is my 666th post!!! :o

It is quite a different sound than Copeland or Lovedrug. I like both Copeland and Lovedrug well enough, but for some reason unless I'm really in the mood they can't seem to hold my interest (Copeland's definitely better at it than Lovedrug, heh). That's the way it is w/a lot of soft emo or whatever you want it to call it for my tastes. Somehow TRS and a couple of others' unique sounds keep me listening. I dunno why, lol. I just like it.
edit: Here's a question for anyone who may know, what is the milita group? Is it a Christian label, or just a plain 'ol label w/some vaguely Christian bands and some not...it seems so mixed up, lol. I can see the sound they sort of aim at w/their bands, but not the message (if any).

it's just a label with bands on it. some christian (like Copeland) and some not (like Lovedrug).

Lovedrug was at cornerstone...???. They had a generator show on the beach, I assumed they were christian!

(alot of "non christian" bands were at Cstone) Also, I've grown other interests over the years, and haven't kept up with TRS...therefore I really don't like them anymore.

i assumed they were too because of the lyrics...some of them i felt for sure portrayed a christian image (ex. Down Toward the Healing). but i found out later from chrishna, who was talking to their road manager (who is a christian) that the band members are not christian. but they don't mind christians supporting their music and such.
regardless, they are wonderful musicians and michael is super honest in his lyrics. and they have an incredible stage presence.
