Skillet is going to be playing at Creation East once again, which is good, because I have missed them dearly. I haven't seen them since Creation 04. So, anyone else going to Creation East this year?
Heh, so i'm guessing that's a no. :)

And once again, Creation gets stupid by not headlining them...

Well yes and no...we may go for one day if they have a line-up that we want to see but we are not going to do the whole event.I am happy that it is growing for organizers but the crowds last year was almost unbearable at least they were for me...plus my wife has allergies and she always winds up getting sick because of the dust.
So it looks like we may have to pass this year...btw they are calling it Creation Northeast this year....Do you think they may add another event in the south or something?
Yeah, I think they probably will add a southeast and possibly a southwest Creation, to make more money most likely . . . i've been getting dissapointed by how far they keep moving the main stage back you can't even spit at the bands anymore, 2 years ago I got spit on by John while he was singing, now that doesn't seem possible. But alas, there's always the fringe stage.

That's a security issue. Most venues require a 10' minimum from the baracade to the stage. The larger an event is, the more likely the stage will be away from the baracade. Things like Live8 or Woodstock used probably 15' because of all the traffic that goes on behind from security to media and camera crews. That' usually the biggest you see though.
Well, Skillet is going to be opening Creation up, which I think is pretty cool. Disciple is going to be playing on Thursday, so the two don't interefere with each other, so i'm pretty happy with the scheduling just because I can see my favorite bands. No one on here seems to be going, oh well, more for me.

dude.. i so want to go this year.. depends on the money situation

Opening? BLAH! They shuld be Headlining!
01-29-2006, 06:49 AM
Hate festivals? HAHAHA wait....I dont get it!!!
01-29-2006, 08:49 AM
Festivals = bands get 30-45 minutes to play, the sound crew usually doesn't know what they are doing, and the lighting sucks. Plus, you pay higher prices and the chance to see other bands you don't care about seeing. Festivals = suck.
Yeah, but still, there's at least 5 bands I want to see playing at Creation, so ha! :P

I have to say that i was less then impressed with CE line-up this year...they have alot of lesser known bands...which is good because they need exposure too but it seems they are scaling back on having the more well know bands. I also noticed last year that they not only had less bands but they played shorter sets then previous years. They have Reliantk as a closing band one night. I am sure some will disagree with me but i think RK is far from a headlining band.
It looks like right now we will try to go to the last day...as that may be our last chance to see AudioA in our area before they disband.
Project86, TFK, Skillet, Disciple, and Anberlin are going to be playing there. Creation seems to be accepting that there are harder acts out there . . . *Shrugs* I think this year has the potential to be good.

Just in case anyone needs to know CE was cancelled today because of the heavy rains the east coast got this weekend.
06-26-2006, 06:26 PM
oh wow.. cancelled? will they postpone it to another time? or refund tickets?
06-26-2006, 07:23 PM
They aren't moving it to Hershey again? How very odd...
06-26-2006, 08:55 PM
i feel bad for everyone doing the paperwork... trying to reschedule a major festival... refunds... yuck.
06-27-2006, 02:52 AM
From what i understand any of this years tickets will be good for 2007 CE...there will be no refunds. As for Hershey since the storms just hit this past weekend there isn't time to make the arrangements since its supposed to start this week.
