you know what i've always wanted to do? have a bunch of panheads get together and book Skillet for a show, but have it be an all request show. Have it in a small, intimate environment where John can talk with the people a little more one on one and just request any song you've always wanted to hear live. Of course, Ben and Lori may not be really current on some of the older stuff, but I think they could pull it off. If not, then you just have Ken, Kevin, and Trey come as well! :)
I guess the only problem would be exactly where to have it, since everyone is so spread out. we could always video it and do a live webcast and let people request songs online.

that's actually not a bad idea. it's pretty centrally located for the southeast, and with all the Christian media in Nashville, we could get some media coverage for the band.
Sure, we're joking about this now... but that's how that cross-country road trip to SWC2002 started - as just a joke. :)

The only problem with this idea is that Skillet can't play alot of their songs live, which is why they have a live set that they use when they tour.
When you hear something on an album, 90% of the time, that song was recorded in tracks, not all at the same time. It's too difficult to record that way. So each person takes a turn doing their part and then they mix it into the song. When they go to play a song live, it's usually after loads of practice that they can play it well.
Also, if you notice, when you go to a concert, the songs usually don't sound exactly the same as they do on the album. Its a different atmosphere when you are in the studio than on stage. You can do a lot more as far as sound wise. Korey can make it seem like shes playing 24 different synth noises on the album while on stage you can only hear 4 or 6. They need to learn how to mix sounds and play them so it sounds good on stage.
It's an awesome idea to have a panhead show, but at the same time, there are so many factors that come into play to make it, for the moment, impossible.

Unless you count the class trip to Memphis, that took us a few days, but we were very much detoured by all the sightseeing between Manitoba and Memphis.
But anyway, the furthest I'd probably be able to go to see a concert would be...North Dakota. :P Maybe South Dakota if I begged my parents enough.

It would just make more sense to have about three concerts. One on the east coast, one on the west coast, and one in Oklahoma. Although, I do have some vacation days coming to me. I would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to see this show. I am starting to go through withdrawls. I haven't been to see Skillet since...since...oh, the show they did for a youth group in Texas. Real panheads get into closed shows!! haha...How much would it cost to put on a concert anyways. I love the idea, but I'd never be able to agree on a location, as C_N said it happened. There are too many panheads on either side of the country instead of in the Midwest right here. I'm not saying there aren't any, but there isn't enough for the panheads to come together. Maybe a handful ;) but anyway, Skillet would have to have a PanFest West, a PanFest East, and maybe a Midwest one if they can cojure up some decent fans from around the area. Maybe they could do a PanFest North and South, too! But I'd love the idea. Glad to see you guys conjure up as many ideas as I do. I never would mention 'em 'cause they are all too far-fetched.

Hey Will,
This is an awsome idea!! it would need to be in the center of the USA so to include all Panheads from all directions. 24 hours of driving is not a problem. Let's do it.
