http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/germany_bird_flu;_ylt=Atxer7uxRW9OB2DU_7kPOoSs0NUE ;_ylu=X3oDMTA2Z2szazkxBHNlYwN0bQ--

I seriously don't think it will ever spread to humans, but its fun to freak out about I guess.

If you haven't noticed, it's working it's way west in Europe. It's going to be very bad if this thing mutates...

Viruses can mutate, we can't just think that humans are safe from influenza viruses, Pandemic of WW1 much...?

what's better....worry? or God's peace? the only reason i posted that verse is because i thought it was a cool way to express what i thought about the whole disease thing. oh btw...if it serves some purpose, then why does the Bible say not to do it(not saying i don't worry...because yes it's a natural instinct and it's hard to not worry)? w/e

It seems like it's there to help us, if a parent didn't worry about their child would they really love them?

that's a healthy worry, if you're trusting that God will protect them no matter what happens then yes you still love the child. You are just assured, like Josh said, that God will watch over them and you don't need to freak out everytime your kid walks out the door

I think he means the type of worry where it consumes you and you aren't trusting the Lord. Worry can be good to some degree(such as the mother-child ex), but if you aren't willing to let a scary situation go and put it in Gods hands..THAT is wrong.

I take everything the Media says with a pinch of salt. They tend to skew things to raise their ratings.

yep...thanks for that. and so therefore it also has to do with politics and issues like this one. if something "scary" comes up like that, you shouldn't really worry about it because that just gets in the way of you and your walk with God(i don't mean just throw it away and forget about it, but im just saying don't have any fears about it or w/e). God should be your main focus in life and worry can really stray you away from Him..it's happened to me many times. So w/e happens in life...God is in control.

I wouldn't mind, there are worse ways to die. Plus, we don't even know the sympoms that humans would have.

I wouldn't mind... if noone told me what it was or that I actually had it. Ignorance is bliss. I would preffer to just drop dead one day rather than going in for tests, surgery, kemo, or whatever and knowing you're probably gonna die anyway... that stuff just prolongs you're agony anyway.

Agony, yes, but I do mind not knowing what I have. Why? I am not the kind of person who likes having pains but not knowing why.

I also have an irrational fear of fatal illnesses. It's mild, though, not really enough for paranoia.
