I'm posting this because I'm from Puerto Rico and I already discovered Skillet and the album "Collide" from an anime mucis video (no...I'm not kidding :o )

The thing is that I was thinking that there wasn't people on my country that would knwo about them...but I was wrong! Almost everyone that I know and found me leiteninig the album...regonized the band inmediately!! And it didn't happened once, it kepps happening!

So my question is...what the fans from Puerto Rico can do to have the opportunity to see at least once the band live? Many fans are asking for at least ONE presentation. You don't have idea of how much the old fans here are waiting for this...and the new ones too!!

So if anyone is in the same position as me...that you have never seen the band live and want to express it...here's the chance!!!

I've never seen them live either...my reason however is that I don't have money to pay for the tickets (I'm one of 12 kids, money is hard to come by.)

well i know that not a lot of bands tour in pueto rico, but if you ever get a chance to come to the states, see em! im sure if you get enough people together you could organize an event!!! so then they could come see you! same goes for everyone! Skillet is amazing live!!!

my suggestion would be get all the fans together, get a venue and people to back the event (financially speaking...) and book a show for the band. :)

Hey does anyone have more info on the show in Marietta, GA on the 26th? I only live 2 hours away from there and it would rock if I could make it b/c it's the only time they're coming to the Southeast during this tour!

Just a question. Are those tour dates on thier website actual concerts or just little gigs here and there?

Cause I noticed they're going to be nearby in September at the fairgrounds but its too far away to make an effort if its not like an actual concert or whatever. If it's an actual concert, I'd see them :)

It would vary depending on the concert. Call the number for the info to find out.

i just recently saw skillet live and they were awesome! they rocked out really hard and did some really cool drum and guitar solos, ben is a really talented guitar player. They also played the songs a little different than the album it was nice to hear the change, and john screamed more. But they were awesome they really got the crowd involved and they rocked out really hard!

Im new to listening to Skillet... or any other Christian Rock group.. actually seen Seventh Day Slumber..FireFlight and Decyfer Down April 22nd.. And was GREAT!
I go to see Skillet May 20 and was hoping to hear from fans their experiences. I got their cd Collide and listened to to and its really good.. cant wait to hear them live (hope they sound the same)
The other bands took time to talk to me and hubby and to sign our cd's and take pics... I hope to get that from Skillet as well.

They usually try to get out to talk to fans, take pictures, sign random objects, the usual; but they don't always get that chance due to schedules, so don't be bummed if you can't. Just know they wanted to.

In two weeks they are going to be at a small venue in eastern ky and i'm definitely making plans to see them again.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm getting nervous now that its coming right up on us.
I already have my cd ready and my own permanant markers(black and metalic..just in case)and my rechargable batteries too.
Would you all compare Skillets style to any of the bands I seen earlier? ( Seventh Day Slumber.. Decyfer Down.. FireFlight)
I have only listened to the 1 cd I bought to get a listen to how they are.. and liked is alot.. but do they sway from the sound in the lava collide cd?

LeShep, their sound over the years has varied, but in concert, it pretty much stays with their current sound. Some of the older songs (Alien Youth, Best Kept Secret) have a lot more of the syths noises in them.

As for the permanent marker, i don't think you need to worry about it. They usually have them on hand. But if you feel you need to, go right ahead.
