post counts were disabled from the arcade to avoid people going into "post wars" by posting random, pointless stuff in the arcade. it's in hopes of encouraging conversations and discussions over spam. :)

Nothing. Honestly, it helps to differientiate between newbies and those who've been around longer, but it's not difinitive (just look at Isildur's post history - his first month he had a couple hundred). Other than that, it's kinda just there. Maybe for some personal goals. :)
