i just got home from like the most powerful bible studies i've ever had with my youth group. there was 4 youth groupers and my pastor sarah, and we were talking about how we should be preparing for jesus and how he's coming back. and we were talken bout how mary trying to find a room. and my pastor was like "how could you not give a pregnant woman a room for the night? why arent we as christians opening our doors to the needy when they knock?" right after she said that there was a knock on the door. my friend jamie and i totally jumped. so my pastor answers the door and talks outside to these 2 women (1 form my church and the other looked to be in her teens or early 20's, and she was pregnant) for like 10 minutes. and the rest of us are all like who is this? when my pastor comes in she was totally quiet. my pastor is never quiet and we're all looken at her like whats going on. and she starts telling us that the pregnant woman had been walking around town since 3 this afternoon, she just got kicked out of her home and had no where to go. we were all in shock. like myself and whole group just started askin questions like does she need food,a place to stay, and money. so the last thing we know is that this lady is goin to the police station to see if someone could give her a ride to a town bout 3 hours from here cuz she has some friends there. and the last thing my pastor said to end the night was "everyone today says that if jesus was born now we'd take care of him the right way. but everyday jesus is born in an alley and we just walk by, we ignore the ones that are needy, we spit in the face of jesus." its just so...amazing and weird how that lady came to us during a bible study pretty much about the same thing. i hope i didnt confuse anyone. i'm still in awe at what happened. i'm just all :o God bless that woman.
