Agree, agree, with all. I think that it is nifty that Skillet has so many different sounds; we panheads are a diverse group of people. Some like them for hard rocking ype songs and some for the ardent worship cd songs. We are all aliens here though. All the same that way. We've got the common goal. Yeah, I think I will like Collide best of all so far, not sure though. I really do like the electro sounds. *sniffle* I will miss that being a big part of the music. But guitars rock too! Woo. Now I am pumped for the new cd.

yeah, every skillet cd is different and i think each band member effects the band's new cd in one way or another.

i don't think ben is a fan of techno, so maybe he did influence it a bit.

in either case, i really like how none of their cds sound identical. ya never know what to expect from Skillet, and it is always pushing them to get better and better. (instead of "well, this is our sound, we are stuck with this." and not having a drive to push forward, ya know?)

I know what ya mean man, a friend of mine from church doesnt like christian music or Skillet that much. But when he got back from Rock The Universe in Florida, he wouldnt shut up about it. A lot of the reason Skillet changed their style is because Korey didn't want to spend all her time behind the keyboards. Shes done really good moving to guitar and it's giving Ben a chance to experiment more with Guitar solos cause she can hold the sound for him while he goes at it. Skillet has always been diverse in their change of sound. It keeps their music from sounding all the same.

Also, Skillet will never go country... hence my tagline at the bottom... ;)

actually, AY is more industrial than techno. techno is a lot more syth, lot less guitars and drums (like, none). plus, Ben only played for one song on the CD (Earth Invasion). i don't think he had much to do with the sound. :)

but he did have a pretty big impact on Collide. if i remember correctly, the opening for Forsaken was Ben's invention. i'm sure he came up with a lot of other stuff throughout, with John there as guidance.
