All of the good musicians around here are either A) graduating or B) pre-occupied with bands they're already in. Everyone else just can't play. So, no, I'm not in a band, but I'm looking for one... And I can't do solo projects because my computer privileges are very limited at the moment, speaking from a hardware standpoint.

If church bands count than I'm in a couple. I'm on my church worship team and then on a youth/young adults band. It's pretty fun although we don't write our own stuff yet. I've been wanting to write a song with my sister though. We're getting there ;).

I'm sort of in two bands. One is a side project w/ a friend. My main band is called Legion and it's heavy metal although we don't have a site up yet(waiting for a certain member to finish coding). The side project however is up and is an acoustic setup. The website is http://www.myspace.com/97076872

That will change as soon as we come up w/ a name for it. If anyone has ideas for a name(short, one worders preferably) let me know and we'll think about it.

oh wow, thanks for the kind words. :) the lead vocals go back and forth between me and my older sister (but all 3 of us sing). on our myspace songs, i sing lead on "laugh again" and hollie sings lead on the other 3. we need to record new stuff soon so we can put them online.

well, I'm on the church worship team and I'm in the process of actually starting a band. We don't have a site yet, we're not even sure on the name. But I sing lead vocals, and i'll probably either play bass or electric. no one else can play bass, so i'll probably do that. We're thinking of a few names right now, and we're wanting to start as a youth worship team and then do some recordings.

Rising Requiem. There's really two songs up. Two of them are the same song only one has some added stuff until we decide what to actually do and add vocals.

Yeah, I don't want to do a crappy recording, that just gets thrown in with all the other local bands. I want a good quality recording. Which, unfortunantly, costs $$$.

I used to be in a band but then my freaking drummer got deported (vile immigration laws!). Thus, myself and the other guitarist decided there was not enough talent between us to justify a full fledged band, so we have been demoted to the ranks of the onlookers. And [shudder] hobbyists. Unless of course you count worship bands, which I don't. Not for "bandship" that is. Worship bands are cool and have their place, but the term "band" refers to something else.

bob: all of my recording was done using a 15" PowerBook G4 and a 2 channel firewire input box into garageband. it's not a professional studio, but that costs thousands that I don't have.

I'm sort of in a band .. I'm still working on my guitar-playing. Me and my best friend and her sister write songs and record 'em on my computer, and we're going to try to write guitar parts to them sometime. :) Our "band" is called CrimsonMoon.

Not to discourage but there are least 2 bands in L.A named Crimson Moon already.

Q: Is there anyone in LA that isn't in a band?

what if your worship band is on a label and tours

What if my worship band wrote their own stuff. What if my worship band was the same people more than one week in a row.

If the above criteria were met then it would count, I guess.

Yeah we are leaving or the first week of tour sept. 11. Sucks. Just weird.
