There will be more information on the actual tasks coming soonish. Most you will probably be able to do, some will require going to specific places (Like the mall, music shops, etc).

So it's stuff to do locally? Like screaming at the top of your lungs that the CD comes out in Oct and writing it all over your Biology teacher's whiteboard? That'll be easy, I do that already!

DarkestRose
08-28-2006, 09:46 PM
I could do local stuff. It's just that going to the mall and stuff is kinda out of my ability because it's too far out of town and I can't drive. so I would have some issues doing all the tasks, but I want to help.

Eh, that stuff sounds doable. Everything around here is pretty close by too.

Get all your friends who are into Skillet in on this as well. Have them join on the site. The more people we have in this, the better.

HEYYYYY I am having big fat issues with the street team sign up - I went to sign up, and when I got the confirmation email, I clicked the link to confirm, and when I did so, it told me that there was an error because my email already existed in the database. I figured that it was because I am already on the mailing list. But then yesterday I got an email from the web team that said I had not yet confirmed my email. o.0!! I replied to that email, telling them this, but idk if they will check it. What do I do? Does someone on here know? I want to be a part of this!

Starbucks5721
09-13-2006, 03:47 AM
I've been putting links to the website everywhere, I put stickers on my car, I've been telling EVERYONE I KNOW about it like mad, and hahaha I've been wearing my shirts nonstop (well, almost) XD

John sent out a new email today:

Hey Panheads!

Due to the amount of fans who have asked about being a part of a street team to help promote the band, we are finally organizing one and and opening it up for people to join! Sometimes I have been concerned that doing this may seem that I am asking too much of our fans. However, if you guys want to help us and get the word out about Skillet and the new album, that would rock! I want to ask you to also remember that you are not just promoting the band, but the message of the band as well. We want to impact hurting people; love the unlovely; give hope to the hopeless; and pray for those who would try to stand against us! So act in accordance with what you believe, and what you know the band to believe. I do believe that the message of this album is relevant to the world and needs to be heard. If you agree, then sign up and help us spread the word!

Sign up here:

Stay strong,
John Cooper

THEY FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!

Here's what I just got in my email:

This email is being sent to those who have been unable to confirm their
email addresses to the street team. Our apologies!

We finally have it fixed now. If you saw this error: "You did not
specify the correct ID" - don't worry, you ARE subscribed.

But if you want to unsubscribe, you can do that here:
http://www.skillet.com/streetteam/list/subscribe.php

And since you missed the email that went out to the street team
yesterday, here it is again:

-----------------

Hey Panheads,

Congrats on being the first to exclusively view Skillet's Comatose
e-card! For your first task as a Skillet street teamer, please forward this
e-card to ALL of your friends, family, second-cousins, etc.! The
official e-card will be sent to all of Skillet's fans and be posted on their
site within the next 48 hrs.

http://www.skillet.com/ecard/

Thanks for all of your help in getting the word out about Comatose!

Until next time,

Feel free to use this thread for anything that pertains to the street team. If you haven't heard already, they have an ecard out, so send it to everyone you know.

Also, if anyone has created anything at all to promote Comatose, feel free to post it here so we can all pass it on.

For now, just keep spreading around the ecard and the promo video.

Starbucks5721

Only the first hundered people to respond to an email that got sent out at the end of last week get stuff for now. Im pretty sure they have the 100 people already. I missed it :(

Other than that, so far all there has been is a MySpace Layout Contest, an E-card to send to everyone and their mom, and just general promotion!
