I didn't necessarily want to post this in the Happy Birthday thread.

Today is my last day as a teenager.

Anyone feel a big shift from decade to decade? Because I really feel compelled to change a lot about myself. For example I've had this haircut for almost twenty years. ... that, and I am not a physicist or renowned philosopher... What have I done with this 20 years given to me? Ridiculous! I am about where most students are who are my age.

I don't recall ever feeling an age shift with birthdays. Mine always seem to come with important events. I guess that's why it's taken me so long to grow up.:D

turning 20 was big for me (that whole year was, really). it forced me to grow up and think "what do i want to accomplish in my life? what are my goals? who am i? what do i have to contribute to God's Kingdom and soceity?"

it was an important year for me.
and since you seem to be going through the same thing... know that the change is good.

One age shift for me (and a friend of mine): hearing the youngsters talk about "High School Musical" and not knowing a bloody thing about it.

my 20th birthday was a day, as was my 21st and 22nd.

nothing special. Just a day of the week.
