Does anyone know anything about the semi acoustic version of Savior that they play on Air1? Did Skillet record it with the rest of the album? Is there any possibility of it turning up on the CD (possibly as a hidden track)? Who all has heard it and what do you think of it?

i haven't heard it, but i'm sure it is a special cut just for CHR.... they did that with alien youth also. prolly won't show up anywhere else. i would be curious to hear it though... guess i'll have to find an air1 syndicate

It's a cool version. You can hear strings of some sort (thinking violin) in it. What would be cool is if Air1 played both versions. And yes I would love it if they put both versions on the cd. maybe they did, we don't have to much longer to wait...

I requested Savior on Atlanta's crappy "light-rock" stations...

If there's a version that Air1 will play, there's no reason they can't play it as well. :P

I have heard it. Our local radio plays it. I think it rocks. Skillet is the only rock band that can play their songs acoustic and they still rock your face off!!! Our radio station has actually played the acoustic version and the cd version right after one another. Talk about an excited Sherry driving down the road. My daughter was "Mommy can you please turn John Cooper down. He is hurting my ears."

Although having a Christian rock satation is great, our station plays a little of everything. They only play the real "rock" music after 7 pm, and I am always preoccupied. So, we also have to listen to the rap they play, and you know Christian rap is kinda cheesy sometimes.

People in this area of the country don't know that Christian music is past hymns yet, so chances of us ever hearing Savior on the radio anytime soon are -0-.

at least your radio station plays a version. the ones near me won't touch Skillet with a ten-foot frying pan. :P

Mine won't either!!! All they play is Chris Rice and Avalon and other people I've never heard of. They played Newsboys "It is You" once (that I heard, at least). I wish there could be a Christian rock station near where I live, but I guess I don't live close enough to a big city to have one.

no, you're right...it's not the cd version. if you are signed up to get their music surveys, whenever they ask you: "What songs have you heard on the radio, that you like, that Air 1 is not playing that you would like to hear?" [something along those lines]

tell them "the cd version of Savior by Skillet." that's what i do. and then explain how isn't fair representation of the song and the band. so it may effect the cd sales - if the listener bases their cd collection on what they hear on air 1.

i have been asked that question 3 times, and each time i tell them to play Savior - not the acoustic version, but the original single. of course, i thank them for at least playing Skillet to begin with - just encourage them to go harder. ;)

maybe if enough of us say it, it'll happen... *shrugs*

...just remember to be nice... :)

anyone hear that re-mixed savior single? Wow that was great, they just played it on the radio, but they called it just savior, not a new remixed version on the radio, the station I listened to though was one that dosen't really like to play rock music, so I dunno.. it was a little more toned down than the orginal savior, but in a cool way

Yes, I've heard the accoustic version of Saviour on Air1.com Was puzzled by it. I wondered if maybe it was an American version of the song (or perhaps more accurately maybe what I'd heard was an Australian version) I emailed Air 1 for some answers but didn't get a reply.

I like the Album version better. The accoustic one sounds kinda weird to my ears after getting to know the other.

I dislike the acoustic version. It just doesn't sound nearly as good as the version on the record.

When you guys say acoustic, you mean also all the keys in the song too, right? The version played on my local xian station, kduv, is both acoustic and has lotsa wierd keys on it, but no hard guitars. And it even has slightly different singing by John.

The accoustic version is no inferior to the album version. It is a great song to play on CCM stations who would normally only play "You are my hope" and every Steven Curtis Chapman song.

Where can I download this song?

Yeah, I like the semi-acoustic version, it sounds really nice but it took me a while to get used to. My local CHR radio station plays it here in Australia, and I'm good friends with the announcer dude, so I will ask him how they got it and see if he knows. Does anyone know if it's on the web or anything.. like a legal copy? We should ask when it got made when Korey does her chat thing... that's taking a while to happen aye. Maybe they're busy..

Yeah that's what I was thinking after reading that interview. What do you think about the whole going mainstream thing? I think it's cool, but I wish the radio's would just play savior.. like for eg, here in Australia, no one's ever heard anything skillet on mainstream radio, but I'm sure it will happen when the time comes.

But like.. when POD's single Satellite go launched I only heard it on the radio a couple of times and no one got to know it.. sorry to bring POD into this.. they're not the coolest
