Okay, i know youve all been thinking it, or at least i have :azn:...a Christian rock on sign! We all know that good bands deserve praise, but you cant go to a concert like Casting Crowns and give them the \../. it just doesnt feel right. So this thread is for suggestions for one. Suggest away! :P

Umm, why can't you? Because people do it at secular concerts? Or because that whole thing about it being devil horns or what not? And why would you throw a rock fist up at a casting crowns concert? They aren't exactly what I would call rock or deserving of a rock fist. In any event, \m/ Rock on \m/

Hehe, the first time I saw PC3 was when I was living in Australia. I loved their music and their concerts were really fun. It's a shame they Americanized all their songs. I liked the original ones so much better. :\

umm try this: take one hand and slap it against the other hand. Maybe if you do it right you could make it make a big sound. Then they could see and hear... now we just have to name it. What will we call it...

... dude, can you imagine what it would sound like if a huge crowd did that all at the same time??

Have any of you guys actually been to a Casting Crowns concert?? Granted I didn't feel the rock on sign to be appropriate, but they really surprised me. I've always appreciated their catchy songs, but they really pump live - especially indoors where they make the walls shake.

I just do the fist pump. That works well enough.

Yes, I worked for them earlier this year.

As for the sign thing, cheering, screaming, and clapping always works.

At any Christian concert, it is proper to mosh and perhaps skank (a ska dance).

mosh at a christian concert? when, where??? haha. at creation this year everyone "moshed" at one point at the fringe stage. involved jumping up and down. real moshing is at like hardcore concerts. me and my buddies almost got kicked out of creation a few times for moshing. it was hilarious, poeple were looking at us like "what are these heathans doing!" so i wouldnt say its proper to mosh at christian concerts. ive been to Demon hunter, blindside, and p86 concerts at non-christian venues(i know maybe not the best way to describe then, humor me) where people are running into each other, and almost fighting. its fun!

you can't use a cell phone because cell phones distract you from God. you have to call fire down from heaven...:-P

well i guess i shouldn't say "club" but it's called Club 3 Degrees and it's a Christian venue where they have concerts, events, and stuff like that...it's the place where you see bands like skillet or kutless play when they come to minneapolis

how do you not mosh at a skillet concert? eh... i miss moshing. i am small and not very strong so i can't mosh at real concerts for fear of death but when my old church had coffeehouses i'd mosh with the little high school boys lol

st1_Lord
01-03-2007, 03:18 PM
actually... of the Christian venues in my area (Cinci, OH) theres at least 3 I can think of that allow moshing... I saw Demon Hunter at one of them, and The Days of the Reckoning tour at one... all the bands were like "You know they allow moshing here right?" So not all Christian venues are like that.

You can't force a discussion. Either it will happen or it won't; asking us to post won't make it happen. The best way to resurrect a thread (and this one isn't even dead, since it never left page 1) is to bring up something else that adds to the discussion: a new point, a new question, new information.
