okay, one day i was listenin to music on my laptop and everything was fine. i left my iTunes up on the screen and left. an hour later i came back and started playing my songs again. for some reason, all the sound coming out of my speakers was glitching up and sputtering. every five seconds in the song it freezes up for a second and then it starts again. it is very annoying.

i tryed starting up my computer after shutting it down but the sound is still screwed up. i don't know what happened in that one hour while i was gone.....now, every little noise is freezing up and messing up. to this day, i don't know.

any suggestings?? by the way, i have windows xp.

Unplug your speakers, plug them back in.

Find the name of the soundcard on your PC (look around Control Panel's hardware list) or better get someone who knows what they're doing to look. After that look online for sound drivers for that card.

Do you have the same problem if you play the music with a different app? Windows Media Player, for example?

Then I definitely agree with Skynes. Go to the website for your laptop manufacturer, find your model and download the latest sound drivers. Then re-install the sound drivers.
