I'm talking more about the effect it has had on your lives, not just soothing or soft music.
How has God changed your life through music?

Music is so awesome, it's so endless... Music that helps me are mainly because of lyrics, like in You Are My Hope. That song has helped me a lot, just saying that if we let Him, God can carry us through w/e we're going through. Then there are so many of Flyleaf's lyrics that I love. Fully Alive sparks thoughts, All Around Me and So I Thought help through tough days. There are so many other bands like that. Other Skillet songs, Hawk Nelson, TFK.

I usually try to find songs with lyrics that match my mood and what I'm feeling at the moment.

I've been listening to "Here By Me" by 3 Doors Down a lot lately.

"I hope you’re doing fine out there without me
‘Cause I’m not doing so good without you...

...I can’t take another day without you
‘Cause baby, I could never make it on my own...

...And everything I have in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me"

I also find City and Colour, The Fray, and Lifehouse very calming.

I ment for this thread to be about how music has changed your life, not how it helps you get to sleep. I should have titled it differently...

I remember some of my first cds I got after I officially became a Christian were:
Skillet; Alien Youth
Superchic[k];Kareoke Superstars
The Benjamin Gate
Superchic[k];Last One Picked

They definetely helped me grow in my faith, and the lyrics are very positive too. I remember being very unstable, and sometimes having breakdowns. But they helped me to hold on.

If you want to change the title, i think you can do that when you edit your first post.

If that doesn't work, just PM a mod and we can edit the title for you.
