You mean like when they saw Mary in that window at that hospital because steam got between the panes of glass? LOL

Sorry, I don't think much of it other than a cheap way of getting some popularity. :

Interesting. I havem't done prophetic art. I've done metaphoric art before, but it was all metaphore inspired by whatever Christian music was inspiring in me at the time. Even Skillet.

I am sorry, but I am still confused. Is it a painting that someone painted that is symbolic of something, is it a spirit guided art that you painted/drew, is it a vision of a still image that looks like a painting, or something I did not mention? I don't know if I can comment on it until I know what you are talking about.

haha its ok like it can be something like a vision u see and God tells you to draw it or somethign were u start making marks on a piece of paper and it turns into something its almost like prayer through art

oh absolutely, there is no limit to the methods God can use to speak to us. Very often during our worship service, someone is given a word that they then share with the body, and very often it is a picture or image that describes some kind of Biblical principal. While i was at Visible School we had worship every tuesday and thursday morning and Ken began to encourage us to draw any visions that were shared during the service... kind of a visual diary of what God was speaking to the school.

There is another church here in town that holds a contemporary service Saturday nights and they have someone on a little side stage painting during the service. I've never gone up afterward to see what she painted, but I firmly believe that painting can be a form of worship just as much as singing or dancing or whatever.

I've gotten ideas before, (and half my thoughts are already visual), I've put some of them on paper, but I won't call them prophetic, I call them metaphoric. Because it's usually metaphores to help me express, or understand ideas that are inspired in me. But it was personal in the sence that only I understood the metaphores, and it made sense mostly to me. There was nothing universal about it.

My story of Letgacy of Numach, the specific layout of what I typed was gained after a spent time in prayer. I was just hit with an idea that I loved and typed it out.

Ahh, that sounds like an uberkewl idea! It would be interesting to see what comes out of it. Maybe you should talk to them about making a webpage and posting the drawings online. :)

Some ppl are really good at this. prophetic art will also be something like CS lewis' allegories. Jesus' use of parables is also a form of prophetic art.

The bibleschool I'm going to next year also includes an art devision, where they focus on arts.

drawing's a beautiful way to express worship. so often we become so centered on equating worship with music only, when worship is to be a life-style, an expression of devotion.

i've never painted...anything...at all. but i do write, and several of my writings have "come" in the sort of manner you're describing.

i should try painting. i learned a technique in my intro to art class where you melt crayons and make dots like the Impressionists to create a picture. i loved doing that.

I think that sorta stuff's great. I have loadsa 'pictures' in my room that are that kind of stuff, it may be a word that God has spoken to me and then I write it down and decorate it, or random pictures I draw, often I find it easier to do things on the computer, but it is still art for the glory of God, not necesarily a drawing the way you decribed it but that kinda thing.

Also the other arts- dance, mime, drama, etc- I love to worship using dance and mime be it corporate or jsut my own thing at home, it's a different way of doing things than the usual.

I know what you mean!! I LOVE to draw and paint (mainly watercolor), but I don't just sit down all the time and just start on something. I don't know, it might sound weird to others, but I just have to have that 'feeling,' like I need to draw or paint. I don't know, I call it inspiration.

wow! all that sounds really neat! God is such a creative God. right now im working on a series of 3 paintings im really excited about them like the first 1 (society) i cut out like pictures of drugs and stuff like that out of seventeen(nothing against seventeen) and put them on a cardboard thingy and dribbled red paint and stuck a steak knife in . its pretty cool and its like the Lord covering our sins w/ His blood and then the knife in the cardboard is like the slow painful death of this generation but Jesus' blood is covering us.. and then the second one is called innocence and it has wedding clothe and a veil w/ pictures of Christians and then some red paint and 3 nails and some other stuff and then fianlly the 3rd is when the 2 forces meet and i dunno what its gonna look like i think its going to be like a battle field in charcoal... its gonna be cool.. if i can draw it lol wow that took up alot! there is alot more paintings and stuff.. thanks for reading all this!
